We chose this hotel as it was very close to our friends who we were visiting. Hotel Korpilampi is located in the most beautiful setting... our morning walks were just amazing, the air was pristine and we found some lovely little treasures in the forest to photograph. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was basic, clean and comfortable... what more would you want when you open the curtain in the morning to see that view! Breakfast was great, loved all the choices. We didn't use the pool or sauna as we were out all day. We would return here most definitely... the price is most reasonable and added to that the service and the scenery... very hard to beat. Thank you to all for our fabulous stay.
W stayed there for three nights, the food was delicious, the rooms and the meetings space appropriate, the lake and its view the biggest asset of the hotel. If you are a group ensure that you make a booking for the smoke sauna at the lake.
Lovely and vey peaceful place, a bit outdated, but still convenient. The surroundings ( park and little lake) are just beautiful and add specific charm. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to any of my friends visiting Helsinki despite it's rather remote location.
Very old, poor condition hotel in the middle of forest by the lake. Good service in front desk, but the corridors and rooms are in really bad condition. Old beds, no lock on toilet door, common tv-channels not working on tv, no minibar. Anyway we paid 107 € / night so you could expect that even the basic things would work. Restaurant opens really late, 4 p.m. and sauna and pools closes already 9 p.m. cannot recommend this hotel to anybody, not worth for money.
This was a great stay. The outside doesn't look like much but the inside is new and remodeled. The rooms are small but comfortable. Buffet breakfast was fantastic. Guess can use the sauna and pool both are clean and nice. The location is not that far from the main airport especially if you are renting a car is worth it. Also just a few hundred meters from the hotel is a waterpark and skilifts during the winter.
Booked at last minute for business trip. Helsinki and closer Espoo hotels were all sold out due to entrepreneurial conference. This hotel is more of a active/outdoors vacation type hotel and conference center. it is pretty far from Helsinki and the normal business center of Espoo. The rooms are fine and the restaurant is actually pretty good. Would come here for a weekend if wanted out of the city. probably better in the summer time when the lake is not frozen
This is a congress / conference center type property more popular for winter sports enthusiasts. There is also a lake close by. I stayed just for one night while on a business trip. Had to take this up as most of the decent hotels in Helsinki were full. It is a basic hotel, with neat and clean rooms though the rooms could do with better lighting. The elevator system is a bit strange with having to change two elevators to get to the 3rd floor. I would not prefer to stay here again.
This is a large conference style hotel with good facilities and close to a lake and winter sports resort. It's clean and generally in good order. The first problem was my room. I have never stayed in such a dark room. There main light was in the entrance hall, a very dim standing light and 2 reading lights. I had to leave the toilet door open for extra light. The restaurant has an OK menu, but the service is really bad. Waiting to be seated for 8 minutes, ignored by waiting staff at my table. Lots of staff but so disorganised. The beer in the restaurant is certainly watered down, I'd complain but that would mean finding a staff member....
We stayed for 2 nights here as a transit point to airport and the experiences of each is so different. The hotel was totally full on the first night and which makes our stay a nightmare as it's very noisy during night time and also in the morning. However on the second night, when most of the customer gone, the hotel is very quiet and peaceful which it's very comfy. We like the short trail behind the hotel which we have a great morning walk with our dog. The location is far from city center which need to pay attention to if you have packed schedule
Korpilampi is well kept and well run. The staff is helpful. The rooms are average sized but well kept. The breakfast is a large spread if mostly on the cold side. There's small lake right behind. It even has a kids play area. But it's still a business hotel. And it's a 30-min bus ride away from Leppavaara. If you don't mind exchanging the bustle of Helsinki (and there isn't much of it really) for a quiet stay, this place is for you.
