This was a great stay. The outside doesn't look like much but the inside is new and remodeled. The rooms are small but comfortable. Buffet breakfast was fantastic. Guess can use the sauna and pool both are clean and nice. The location is not that far from the main airport especially if you are renting a car is worth it. Also just a few hundred meters from the hotel is a waterpark and skilifts during the winter.
Booked at last minute for business trip. Helsinki and closer Espoo hotels were all sold out due to entrepreneurial conference. This hotel is more of a active/outdoors vacation type hotel and conference center. it is pretty far from Helsinki and the normal business center of Espoo. The rooms are fine and the restaurant is actually pretty good. Would come here for a weekend if wanted out of the city. probably better in the summer time when the lake is not frozen
This is a congress / conference center type property more popular for winter sports enthusiasts. There is also a lake close by. I stayed just for one night while on a business trip. Had to take this up as most of the decent hotels in Helsinki were full. It is a basic hotel, with neat and clean rooms though the rooms could do with better lighting. The elevator system is a bit strange with having to change two elevators to get to the 3rd floor. I would not prefer to stay here again.
This is a large conference style hotel with good facilities and close to a lake and winter sports resort. It's clean and generally in good order. The first problem was my room. I have never stayed in such a dark room. There main light was in the entrance hall, a very dim standing light and 2 reading lights. I had to leave the toilet door open for extra light. The restaurant has an OK menu, but the service is really bad. Waiting to be seated for 8 minutes, ignored by waiting staff at my table. Lots of staff but so disorganised. The beer in the restaurant is certainly watered down, I'd complain but that would mean finding a staff member....
We stayed for 2 nights here as a transit point to airport and the experiences of each is so different. The hotel was totally full on the first night and which makes our stay a nightmare as it's very noisy during night time and also in the morning. However on the second night, when most of the customer gone, the hotel is very quiet and peaceful which it's very comfy. We like the short trail behind the hotel which we have a great morning walk with our dog. The location is far from city center which need to pay attention to if you have packed schedule
Korpilampi is well kept and well run. The staff is helpful. The rooms are average sized but well kept. The breakfast is a large spread if mostly on the cold side. There's small lake right behind. It even has a kids play area. But it's still a business hotel. And it's a 30-min bus ride away from Leppavaara. If you don't mind exchanging the bustle of Helsinki (and there isn't much of it really) for a quiet stay, this place is for you.
This hotel is well-located to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. In September 2016, I was on a trip and needed to have a hotel surprisingly quickly. All the "Airport Hotels" were full, but Korpilampi did have free rooms. Actually Korpilampi is not faraway from the Airport, especially if you have to continue your trip to west from the airport it is a good selection. I have been here once earlier, and I was not disappointed either this time. Friendly reception, silent room and wide selection in breakfast buffet in addition to reasonable room rate. What else you need to justify the selection being good?
Great vacation , clean room, tasty food . If you planning vacation on one week , better you have driving license , because hotel located far away from center, otherwise 2 hour by local transport to the city or 70 eur for taxi . Its very great vacation for family with kids on for 3 days , because hotel located near to Serena Park - 5-7 minutes walk . beautiful nature around hotel. Finland is expensive city , so prepare that on one day for 3 people will cost you around 200 eur , its with water park tickets and food at restraunt in the hotel. friendly staff everything was great , we really enjoyed!
From the outside the hotel looks like a military bunker. The inside is typical Scandinavian style: functional and no nitty-gritty. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast buffet is excellent. The environment is beautiful. All together, a fine place to stay.
We had a suite overlooking the lake. It had a large sitting room, equally large bedroom, bathroom with shower, a half-bath (without a tub or shower), and lots of storage -- but no mini-bar, and no way to regulate the room temperature. The closets insulated the bedroom from the hallway, which was great because we had a busload of kids staying on our floor and we could not hear them. Parking and wifi are free. There is a nice food counter next to reception for light sandwiches, snacks, coffee and tea. Breakfast fare was average for Finland but the eating area is lovely and relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities appeared to be well maintained. It was a delightful place to spend our last day in Finland, before flying home (the hotel is about 20 km from HEL and we had a car). Note that you are several miles from anything and our room had no refrigerator. There is bus transportation, if you do not have a car. We drove 6 miles to a restaurant for dinner, and the server was really surprised to have tourists show up.
