Very pretty place to relax and get away. They are very friendly and welcoming staff the room was very clean and bathroom as well( this is very important for me) the room smelled very nice when we entered it was self check in very easy we liked that.The back view of our room was pretty. The restaurant they have very nice food and friendly staff. Very close to Helen that was nice. Overall our stay was amazing

When me and my wife checked in it was beautiful, nice and quiet . We booked in to check out hotels in the area because we will be working here for the next couple of months and I wanted to check out this hotel before we decided if this was the hotel we wanted to book for our trips here . The owner Cindy came knocking on our door and asked for the bottle of complimentary wine back that was on the bar with a note addressed for us . We found that very strange because when you book in , it says one bottle of wine included she tried to say it’s for frequent travelers which we are ,we travel for a living for work . She offered us appetizers in exchange for the wine which we agreed upon because we don’t drink . She told her son which we are assuming is her son he was a younger guy to show us the menu and let us chose some appetizers. He looked at me like something was wrong like he didn’t want to deal with me he whispered to his mom which is extremely rude . Yes we just got off of work and well we’re still in our work clothes looking rough . Well they left and nobody even came back to show us anything on any menu . I will never return to this lodge if this was the way you get treated . I also noticed she didn’t knock on anyone else’s door just ours . I was reading the guest book in our room and guests seem to love her . So I don’t understand why I was treated this way acting like I was going to get drunk and party or something off of wine . Wonderful Find!

When planning a trip to the area, primarily to see the mountain village of Helen, Georgia, we decided on to stay a short drive outside of Helen in order to avoid the tourist crowds. The Nacoochee Valley Lodge was a great choice for us. It’s a simple drive out of Helen (about 10 minutes). The property is a completely renovated and updated little motor hotel, and the rooms are very cozily set up along certain themes. We stayed in the Whiskey Suite, which had two rooms, a nice little back deck overlooking a grassy field and trees, and parking right in front of the room. It was so much nicer than staying in a traditional motel, as we had our privacy and comfort. Hotel owner/manager Cindy was super nice, checked on us when we arrived and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel has an adjacent sports bar/restaurant open Wed-Sun and it’s a very cozy place to eat and drink, with a full bar and Sunday specials! The room had a smart TV with Roku installed, so we could watch our own streaming accounts, and the Internet worked great! Besides the village of Helen, the hotel is also close to Unicoi State Park and several other hiking and outdoor recreation areas.

The suite was absolutely beautifully decorated. Felt like I was in a country home and all the decor was all wood and that style. Everything was neat, clean and appropriate, from linens to furniture. Property outside around the back end is in the process of upgrades, so did not look wonderful, but front area and parking was perfect. We did not really meet the staff and it was not to easy to keep contact directly vs internet that our carrier was battling with.

It was an amazing place to stay. Great price for the quality and service. It is far enough away from the tourist area of Helen, GA but a quick drive when it is time to be the tourist. Comfort bed, very clean, no smoke smell at all, looks like a cabin on the inside. Can't wait to go back.

Everything was perfect! The location was perfect, not too far from things to do by yet far enough that we were away from the bustle in Helen GA. The owner made sure we were comfortable and happy when we arrived with a text message. The next morning when we were leaving for the day, she introduced herself to make sure we had everything we needed. I was surprised how nice the room was, the pictures didn't do it justice. It was large, and with an area for the bed, dining room and living room and Kitchenet. The restaurant, The Dugout Sports Bar, is next to the lodge which was a bonus. The food, staff and location were perfect. Again, the southern hospitality was endearing and welcoming. We felt at home and slept like babies. Glad we picked Nacoochee Valley Lodge for our trip.
