We reserved and received a non-smoking room. However, upon arrival, there was at least one guest smoking at an exit door which permeated our room with smoke. The first night the air conditioner in the room smelled of stale smoke.

On business trip, great value for the price. Breakfast was okay.

This motel is farly basic and suits a 3 star rating. We love the area and the room was nothing fancy, but it was clean, the staff was friendly and most importantly for budget minded travelers, it was inexpensive. It is very close to all area attractions and there are quite a few places to eat are within walking distance. We would stay there again. Patrick Mullins

Everything was fine - the staff friendly, room clean and neat. However, the continental breakfast was much to be desired. The packaged rolls and sweet buns were dry and not very good. Real down home breakfasts were available across the street at very reasonable prices.

We stayed here several years ago and loved the location, cleanliness, and value. However, the motel had changed hands and declined quite a bit over the years. There was an overwhelming odor of cigarette smoke and we were in the non-smoking rooms! The online website advertised a microwave and refrigerator, but the inside top of the microwave was extremely dirty, and there was a burned spot on the side, making the microwave unsafe to use. The remote control for the TV did not work. The refrigerator did not work, and even after we informed the management, nothing had been done when we returned later that evening. The staff told us the motel was full and we could not change rooms. The next day, however, management did allow us to change rooms for the next night and that room was much better.

Kay, the manager, is attentive and runs the business professionally and carefully. For sure I would consider staying again at that hotel, especially for the rate I got.

I have to tell you at first glance from the outside, I was a little concerned because it didn't look promising, but we decided to check it out since we already had a reservation. I was extremely surprised when I inspected the room. It was cleaner than some of the 4 and 5 star hotels I had stayed in. The bathroom was exceptionally clean! The staff was really friendly and very helpful with directions and suggestions. The only thing that would have made it better was if the hotel had a pool. For the price, this was a great deal.

The Hotel staff was friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and kept and accessed by an interior walkway. The location is on the road, but in the city of Clayton. A decent stay.

I was concerned when I booked this hotel due to previous reviews. However when I arrived I found my room to be clean, staff was nice, and room was cleaned each day when I returned. No disturbances during the night, no noise issues. Didn't have a chance to try the continental breakfast. Will go back to this hotel next time I am in the area.

The name says it all. This was the "Best Value" that we have encountered in years. The room was clean, quiet & inexpensive, and close to restaurants. Perfect for our three-day weekend of enjoying the area.

This was our annual Trout Trip that we go on every year. We thought the hotel would be nice to stay at, considering the pictures online, but they dont do justice. The location was not a problem but the management and hotel condition was very poor. Comparing this hotel to others we have stayed at, I would have much rathered slept in the truck. To begin with, the person on duty smelled of smoke and liquor. They tried to charge my credit card again for the room we had already paid for. They gave us the wrong room to! Evidently they dont believe in cleaning to a T because there was popcorn hulls and pills on the floor. Towels were too small and had stains on them. The second night we needed more towels and when I went to ask for them, the lady had an attitude. Plus, the doors are locked at 10:00 and you have to pick up a phone outside to get service. I mean, hello, we needed service so why be ugly? When we came back in from fishing, we had on waders and felt shoes. There was a sloppy note on the door that said to clean boots off before coming inside. Well, they had to be talking about us because there were only 2 other cards there. Besides, felt shoes do not track mud, they track sand and we had neither on us. Oh and the breakfast, was horrible. We didnt even eat it. It was nothing but orange juice, coffee and wrapped up honey buns that probably came from the dollar store. There is never anyone at the front desk. Seems like all they do is write un-porffessional notes and post them places for peopel to see. HELLO, this is a hotel and you are supposed to give good service. Its your Job! We even got fussed at for putting our own hotel trash in the outside trash can! I could say many more negative things about our stay at this hotel, but i highly reccommend not staying here. I wouldnt even give them a 1 on a scale but I had to rate them something.

The chair in the room looked like a possible crime scene and the toilet seat was stained and dirty looking, although actually clean. There were people screaming at each other in the hall at 1AM. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Okay for a place to crash for a few hours, but certainly not a vacation destination.

Great location for attending the numerous activities in the area.

We were just there for a night. Service was good, rooms were pretty average. Older facility, nothing special but well priced for the night.

We were out most of the day enjoying the mountain scenery. The only thing is I would bring a real bar of soap if I knew how small the hotel soap is. Even with extra, I had to purchase my own, but otherwise it is a good dollar value. [...]

I stayed at this hotel while attending a retreat at the Center for Spiritual Awareness in Lakemont, GA. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. There are several restaurants within walking distance. My room was quiet for sleeping. I definitely intend to stay there again when in the area. The only thing missing is an elevator to the second floor.

We got away for a fishing weekend. The room was very nice and clean, comfortable bed.The only trouble was that the street light was so bright it lit up the roonm at night. Not much for breakfast, coffee, doughnuts, bannanas.
