This is my second stay after last year trip. In general, this hotel still a good hotel to stay. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. Breakfast and dinner quality at Fiesta are great. Staffs are very helpful and attentive. They are readily available to render assistance friendlily. They introduced a breakfast check out counter. Which is a brilliant idea to save you sometime while having breakfast. Everything looks as good as last stay. I would love to give a 5 stars rating but below two incidents are making me giving them 3 stars instead. The room is very warm at executive floor. 27 degree C even though i opened up the window while outside temperature is about 10 degree C. I called the front desk and they told me due to winter time, they have to centralized control the room temperature. But the lobby, corridors and even the elevator has much cooler temperature. As an international hotel, please don't treat everyone is coming from China and especially there is individual AC controller. Ended up they provided me a noisy Midea fan. Which causing me having poor sleep quality. While checking out, there is a guest standing at the line next to IHG elite counter. I am gold elite member. And what really pissed me off is the next lane guy cutting the queue to my line while it is my turn to check out. But the front desk staff did not stop the cut queue guy. This is a total disappointment and I decided to take out another star rating. Please improve your IHG elite counter line up arrangement. This is one of the worst I have seen around the world for IHG hotel.
Room was very comfortable. area to work is big and convenient. bath was very equipped and large enough for two people to use simultaneously. bad was big and comfortable. Price was good. Good breakfast with great amount of options
Location is fairly central, about 30 mins form airport. I had a Superior King room which was very spacious with a great bathroom (walk-in shower room as well as a deep tub). Bed was 6 ft wide, comfortable, and good Wifi. Breakfast buffet had a large variety, public areas were clean and well maintained. Some noise from the train track - might bother you if you're suffering from jet lag, but did not keep me awake.
This was my second night in China, ever, so it's difficult to be objective when I have so little experience of local conditions. By UK standards however, the room was excellent being large, well equipped and quiet. The bathroom area had a tub and a superb walk-in shower. The public areas were all very smart in highly polished marble (but then it seemed every modern building in China had the same internal finish) A disappointment was that the only place to have a drink after a busy day was the bar which was a sports bar with hard floors, several large TV screens and loud music. Ok in a city bar but incongruous here. Breakfast was ok and the cost of the stay overall was reasonable. If, as is likely, I return to Hefei, I would happily stay here again.
Stayed three nights. Smooth check-in, friendly assistance. Gorgeous lobby. The young man who looked after my luggage was ever so courteous (pity I didn't get his name). Great room: comfy bed, spacious bathroom, good selection of tv channels. One can use Google at this hotel!! A pleasant surprise - made my work much easier. Check-out was fast. They got a taxi already waiting for me when I stepped out of the door. One thing that could be better was in terms of breakfast - personally found the buns, pastries and waffles etc a bit too dry, coffee making was too slow. Youtiao was yummy, though, one of the bests I've ever tried in the Mainland. An enjoyable stay in general. Thank you!
Located in downtown Hefei this is a very good option for the business travelers and families alike. This is a modern hotel with good service and plenty of F&B options. The lobby is huge and the central chandelier is really an eye catcher. The check in formality could be a bit efficient though as the duty staff could not help me in retrieving my IHG loyalty details. Otherwise the rooms are big and modern and the washrooms are huge. The morning breakfast spread was huge and had provided plenty of options .The complimentary upgrade to a mini suite was a gesture much appreciated. The airport and train station are almost equidistant from the hotel and the hotel can arrange for a drop and pick up for its guests. Recommended for business travelers and families in Hefei.
A nice hotel that offers all the comforts a traveler expects. In house dining with a good selection of local and western cuisine. Rooms are spacious and modern. The breakfast buffet is a delight with made to order dishes that will tickle your taste buds. A good place for meetings and company events.
This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel in Hefei, very standard high quality relatively new Crowne Plaza hotel. very nicely set up room with a sliding bathroom mirror which can be turn into sort of window. There used to be a Walmart right across the street, but it seems to be gone. It's very easy to get a taxi and close to downtown, but not a whole lot of restaurant/shops within walking distance. Another great thing about this hotel, I was able to get on G.... via the hotel Wifi which is so rare in China, I got so much of my work done because of it.
Check in was extremely slow - we were a group of 3 people (3 rooms) and it took the front desk about 15 minutes to get us sorted. Two rooms were ready - mine was not, and I was promised that it would take 30 minutes max. We decided to wait it out in the lobby lounge and have a drink and a sandwich. Despite the fact that we mentioned - and were reaffirmed that it was no problem - we wanted to be done in half an hour the three club sandwiches took close to 40 minutes to arrive. How difficult can it be? Resulting from this delay I was in my room around 60 minutes after check-in - and the room was still being cleaned. My belief is that the front desk person would not once have checked whether or not the promise she made was being followed up on. The room was okay, the bed comfortable and by and large things were clean. The office chair gave me the impression that it was pretty close to breaking, so using it felt somewhat unsafe. The water pressure in the shower was so-so. On the side of the building that I was there are railway tracks right outside the hotel, so if you are sensitive to noise you might want to ask to be away from the tracks (but then again you might be on the road side and I am not sure whether or not that is much better...) The older I get the less willing I am to put up with mediocre hotel quality. When I am able to make my own choices I let that guide me, even if it means paying a premium. Sometimes, though, one can not choose, specifically if the trip is for a conference or a trade show. This was the case here and the convenience of being on site certainly made up for the many shortcomings I experienced. If you have a choice, though, I suggest you try a different place. What's baffling, though, is that at the time of this writing the Crowne Plaza is ranked #2 on TripAdvisor in Hefei. Clearly some travellers must have been happier that I was. I will therefore explain how I arrive at my two point verdict: - if everything would have been okay this is a typical four point property. Good given the location, but certainly nothing for the training department of an international group to rest on its laurels - the check-in delay, the lunch mishap and the fact that getting the room ready took more than twice as long as was promised leads me to deduct a point - another point is deducted for general language skills, some interesting menu choices (e.g. in the lobby you can get a Cappuccino but not a Latte) and a general impression that mid level managers in this hotel seem to be hiding back of house rather than working front of house to improve the customer experience I did not use any other facilities such a gym, pool, club lounge or restaurants (with the exception of the breakfast restaurant which was crowded but okay). If you are a guest: come here for the room and expect little else than an good night's sleep. If you are a manager within the IHG organization: ramp up the training, force the mid level managers to take ownership and increase the number and the strictness the of quality audits the property no doubt regularly undergoes.
Located conveniently near to the Hefei railway station, about 20 minutes, the hotel has great rooms and well maintained. The quality of buffet was fantastic. The staff was warm and polite. Nice to place to stay whenever in Hefei.
