Lovely house in a perfect location.
Lovely house in a perfect location. Short walk into Hawes. A very comfortable house and both us and the dogs relaxed.Chippy and Indian takeaway both excellent.Only problem was the outside light not working assume the bulb was out made finding the lock in the dark a challenge.Have rebooked which is very unusual for us and the best reference I can give.

We had lovely weekend with friends in Cottontail Cottage.
We had lovely weekend with friends in Cottontail Cottage. It is quaint, full of charm and so very convenient for walks from the front door (no need to use your car) and the attractive town of Hawes. Then it came to the morning of our departure. We were all packed up and ready to go, though admittedly we were still in the property at 10:10am. All of the above loveliness was nearly dissipated by the arrival of the cleaner (already scowling and complete with baby in a car seat, it must have been a bring your child to work day). Scowling at Cottontail Cottage she aggressively gesticulated to towards our cottage having apparently caught the attention of someone in a neighbouring property. Then in clear sight of my wife who was at the kitchen window made a direct and obscene gesture in our direction - charming! I'm not sure who employs this young woman, but perhaps a customer awareness course might be useful. All she needed to do was ask politely 'might I come in and start my job'. To which the polite reply would have been 'of course, we are just leaving.' Anyway, we hope to be back at Cottontail Cottage, though next time I'll make sure we are well away by 10am.
