To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed, sunny terrace where you can enjoy a barbecue on a summer’s evening. Spend your days on Abereiddy beach just below the cottage or follow the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path round the headland to the flooded slate quarry, now a secret harbour, often referred to as the Blue Lagoon. There are birds, flowers and butterflies everywhere, a walk along the spectacular cliffs brings you to the isolated sandy beach of Traethllyfn and seaside pub and galleries at Porthgain. A little further afield is popular Whitesands Bay, the beach is popular with surfers both beginners and professionals alike. A short drive takes you to the excellent range of facilities in the tiny city of St Davids with its Cathedral and Bishops Palace, while there is a well-stocked shop and garage in the nearby village of Square and Compass.
