I find the high ratings for Pats at Punalua misleading and questionable.This is the worst place we have ever stayed.Our 5th unit floor was roach infested. We killed 7 cockroaches during our stay, while several more got away. There is no lock on the balcony door, and the screen door has holes. Continuous road noise at night from the busy highway in front of the complex made it impossible to sleep in the bedroom. There was no dresser or bureau to store clothing. The only closet was locked with owner's stuff. For six nights, we lived out of our suitcases on the floor.We were given 3 dingy white bath towels, 2 face cloths and 2 hand towels to last us for 6 nights.The dinner dishes are melamine, not labeled dishwasher safe and unsafe to place in the microwave. There is no coffee table or ottoman available to comfortably put one's feet up while seated on the sofa and watching TV.The community barbecues outdoors are charcoal barbecues. Guests are required to purchase their own coals and clean out the ashes after use. Furthermore, we were asked to begin the laundry for the cleaning staff upon check out.I question the veracity of the 38 "exceptional" 4.5 reviews, and who may have posted the reviews.
