Set in a great location in the city centre ... within easy reach of all the msin sights including tge cathedral and the pottery experience. Limoges is well worth a visit. Public parking is relatively easy with an underground car park nearby (beneath thr hotel)
We were given a Privilege Room in which the toilet did not flush. They were told at 7.00 pm and failed to sort it by10.30pm and also failed to tell us it was not sorted. Had to move room at 10.30pm.Offered 2 breakfasts free but there was 4 of us
The hotel is situatedin the corner of a somewhat barren and run down Place de la Republique, resonable walk from the station, and easy access to the less than imprssive sights. Very warm welcome and the swiftest, easiest check in ever. The hotel has been refurbished and our room on the 5th floor was well decorated and spotlessly clean. The room was "L" shaped and spacious with a/c, large TV, fridge and safe. Adequate wardrobe space and a large bed. Very large shower room again spotless with a very high tech shower cubicle. The WC was in a seperate room off the main shower room. Surprisingly, the full width window had nets, but no curtains - an electric outside blind was used to block out the night. (Not a problem) Well decorated breakfast room with a reasonable selection of dishes, but could do with a better selection of hot dishes. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly - would I stay there again - certainly. Limoges was a big disappointment, with a slightly run down air - lots of empty shops for sale/rent. Apart from the Cathedral area all disappointing, although the Ressistance Museum was interesting. No wish to go back to the town. The airport is very small and not much to offer in the way of amenities
Stayed for 2 nights. Service and personnel are very good. We inquired about vegetarian/vegan restaurants. They duly looked into it in great details, and wrote a list that we used during our stay - Special mention to Jessica for this ! Breakfast does not cater fully for vegan/vegetarian. it's very limited, which we were surprised. We were not charged. Location is great within walking distance to all the sites in Limoges. Would go back.
The hotel is situated in a square a short walk away from the town centre. It is a modern hotel with good facilities. Our room was well-furnished, spacious and well-equipped. Sleep quality was excellent. Some rooms are being refurbished but this had no impact on our stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfasts served. Would definitely stay here again.
The Mercure had a really good size room, was clean and had very polite and friendly service. It is exactly what I expected from the website and price paid. Cot included for our infant, clean and comfortable. Dog bed and bowl not provided, however dogs are welcome and was only €10 surplus. NOTE: I wouldn’t recommend Limoges as a tourist attraction. The features of the city are nice; botanical gardens, Cathedral, the old town but it is very run down and there is a ‘dying town’ vibe where it feels as though the young and creative population move out early. I only spent 1 day there though, so it was a small window.
Staff at the réception was the best. Advices, good humor and attentive. The room was as I anticipated good bed, clean and very equipped bathroom and a comfortable bed. Great location, and a parking garage just near. Rich breakfast. I shall return.
We booked a superior room and were pleased we had done so. The room was very generous with a king sized bed. The shower is over the bath, which I find hard to manoeuvre. The room overlooked the Place de la Republic and had a balcony which was good for people watching (bit chilly though). The rooms have an exterior blind which cuts out both light and noise, which was excellent. The staff spoke reasonable English. Galleries Lafayette is next door and there is a Monoprix Supermarket directly across the square. No restaurant open on site, but there was room service and there is parking below. We caught a taxi from the railway station for €7 as we couldn’t find any public transport options. My tip is to pay the little bit extra for the larger room. The hotel is four star.
Located in the center of the city is one of the hotel characteristic of the town. Room a bit generous (small) but service at the level, attitude and kind. Rooms are clean and complete by all the comforts. Recommended
The location of the hotel is fantastic, on the main square, everything is very close and a nice view from the hotel. The rooms overlooking the main square are nice with a lot of light. The staff is ok but problems in communication because of a very poor english. Nevertheless all of them and specially the manager were very helpful.:) The only disappointment was quite a poor breakfast for such a hotel. If we go to Limoges, we will stay here again.
