Staff at the réception was the best. Advices, good humor and attentive. The room was as I anticipated good bed, clean and very equipped bathroom and a comfortable bed. Great location, and a parking garage just near. Rich breakfast. I shall return.
We booked a superior room and were pleased we had done so. The room was very generous with a king sized bed. The shower is over the bath, which I find hard to manoeuvre. The room overlooked the Place de la Republic and had a balcony which was good for people watching (bit chilly though). The rooms have an exterior blind which cuts out both light and noise, which was excellent. The staff spoke reasonable English. Galleries Lafayette is next door and there is a Monoprix Supermarket directly across the square. No restaurant open on site, but there was room service and there is parking below. We caught a taxi from the railway station for €7 as we couldn’t find any public transport options. My tip is to pay the little bit extra for the larger room. The hotel is four star.
Located in the center of the city is one of the hotel characteristic of the town. Room a bit generous (small) but service at the level, attitude and kind. Rooms are clean and complete by all the comforts. Recommended
The location of the hotel is fantastic, on the main square, everything is very close and a nice view from the hotel. The rooms overlooking the main square are nice with a lot of light. The staff is ok but problems in communication because of a very poor english. Nevertheless all of them and specially the manager were very helpful.:) The only disappointment was quite a poor breakfast for such a hotel. If we go to Limoges, we will stay here again.
Hotel was centrally situated with good parking. The room was spacious and well appointed. The staff were charming and helpful. The late checkout was useful as we were both not well after a visit to a local restaurant - sadly, because of that we were unable to enjoy the fantastic buffet breakfast offered, but the fresh fruit salad was great. We would love to return and stay a little longer to explore this fabulous city.
We stayed for one night B&B and had a very pleasant experience. If arriving by car, the Hotel is difficult to get to as the Place de Republic is a huge excavation site with all roads around closed off. The Hotel car park is accessed from the road behind and then there is a direct stairway from Level -1. We found out the hard way! The reception staff were friendly and informative and our room on the third floor was lovely- beautifully clean and with everything needed to make for a comfortable stay. A nice and welcome touch were the two bottles of water in the fridge and also the tea tray but no biscuits. The king sized bed was very comfortable and ensured a good nights' sleep. The shower room had a very powerful shower and came equipped with a modern hairdryer. Breakfast was very good with an assortment of meats and cheeses and the usual cereals and fresh fruit. Altogether a very good Hotel. The morning receptionist asked us if we had had an enjoyable stay and we were pleased to be able to say that we had .
The location while it is centre.is dispirited desolate car park - place republished - that has been a building site for some time.very few restaurants and the one attached to the hotel for room service is poor. The hotel is so so
I have just got back from a 3 night stay at the Mercure royal limoges hotel, We had a superior room with a balcony overlooking the town square, the room was a great size with a lovely bathroom with bath, on the 5th floor room 508, the rooms had a fridge with bottles of water replaced daily and all rooms had a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities it was a great place to stay right in the centre with plenty of restaurants and bars all within a very easy walk, and a perfect place for shopping had some great meals in the old quarter, you can park outside the hotel (pay at meter) if you can get a space we choose to use the underground car part which was 12 euros for 24 hours and it has direct access to the hotel reception staff were great in helping us book tables in our chosen restaurants we did not opt for the breakfast as there was so many places on the doorstep to eat, would definitely go back and stay there again.
We arrived after a bad rail trip. We expected to arrive at mid afternoon, but thanks to cancelled SNCF trains to Limoges, arrived late at night. The welcome was magnificent. Our room was just as we had hoped, and we swiftly went to the bar. The male receptionist ( didn't get his name ) was so helpful. Just what we needed. We stayed 4 days and had unfailing good service. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Limoges. We had a balcony room overlooking the square, and it was a good choice. Go for it!
Spotless well presented rooms, friendly staff. Perfectly placed for exploring Limoges city centre. Booked a room with a balcony and it was worth it- spacious and overlooking the main square. Breakfast could do with a better variety, but staff were hard working and polite. Would stay again.
