We booked our last night at this place as it s near the Bastia airport and we had an early flight. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are big with a double bed, flat screen tv, fridge. Free WIFI. the toilet is separated from the bathroom which is convenient especially if you are in a hurry... Service very pleasant

We stayed before an early morning flight. Clean quiet friendly staff lovely pool comfy beds great breakfast. Close to airport making an easy morning. Nothing spectacular but did exactly what we needed

This is one of the closest hotels to Bastia airport (2 km, 20 min walk). We first went by mistake to bigger one nearby: de la Madrague. Nice small hotel with well decorated and equipped rooms (however, misses glass wine glasses) and small pool in quiet neighborhood. As our room was on ground floor we got terrace with table and chairs. Well working, free wi-fi. I got good glass of rose in bar.

We stayed here a week. The hotel is nice and clean. The price correct. The breakfast is great and the staff is very helpful. They advised us every day where to go and were every time spot on. From this place many trips can be undertaken to all the nice places the northern, less touristic part of Corsica has.

We stayed for an evening before catching an early flight and were very impressed with the staff. We had trouble with the Expedia booking, which had neglected to inform the hotel about our son's presence. They kindly made up a sofabed as all extra beds were occupied. Lovely pool! The only negative was the enormous number of mosquitoes. The airport is located in a swamp so there's not much the hotel can do, but it was a bit unpleasant to spend about 30 min killing mosquitoes still to be bitten in the night. Unfortunately, we didn't notice the thoughtfully provided mosquito repellent plug-in until morning so this was our own fault. I might suggest that the staff make a point of showing the plug-in to arriving visitors. It is a walkable distance to the airport, but probably not pleasant while carrying luggage. It is a bit off the beaten track.

This is a lovely and friendly little place whose main USP is proximity to the airport. Particularly for those on foot. Once we found it that is! However saved by kindness of locals who stopped to give us a lift. A quick dip in the pool erased that memory and also that of the tedious journey out from Bastia on the airport bus. Nearly an hour to cover the 10 or so miles because of road works. Be warned. The rooms are lovely as is pool and breakfast buffet is absolutely superb - if you want to pig out on all sorts of fruit and carbohydrate. Amazing selection of gateaux and patisserie. I would gladly return to stay but only for 1 or 2 nights as airport aside not really much to do in the immediate area. But more than ticks the boxes for those needing somewhere to stay before an early flight or those arriving late in the day. Be aware if you are sitting outside on the balcony of an evening that you also share airspace with mosquitos. The hotel very sensibily provides plug in repellent devices for the rooms because of this. But best advice is just to keep patio doors closed at night.

We stayed here for three nights at the end of our tour of Corsica. The proprietor and staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms were a good size and very comfortable. The hotel has few facilities of its own (it does have a pool) but there is a larger linked hotel with spa and everything else 5 minutes walk away that guests have access to. The hotel is close (walking distance if you have to) to the airport but set in countryside and perfectly peaceful. If you have a car it is a good alternative to a hotel in Bastia where traffic and parking must be a major hassle especially in peak season.

The sixth and final day of our self guided bicycle tour of northern Corsica saw us stop at the Hotel Madrague and what a surprise it was! Check in was staffed and easy to find (no 'hunt the patron' here). It had a lift and the room was air-conditioned - this really was rather an opulent end to the week! The room was easily the largest of the week by probably 100% - you have room to unpack and move around - elsewhere these were mutually exclusive activities. The swimming pool was a most welcome diversion. The restaurant was not too busy when we dined, but the food was good fare and priced reasonably. Breakfast was the usual continental stuff. There is a night club in the basement, but I only know this because I saw the sign for it. There was no noise disturbance overnight. Although you are near the airport, you wouldn't know it. The presence of air traffic was barely noticeable, which was very nice!

A small hotel tucked away down a quiet lane just twenty minutes walk from the railway station at Lucciana, and the same distance again to Bastia Airport. Ideally placed if, like myself, you're traveling on foot and dependent on public transport. Don't confuse the hotel with the larger Hotel & Spa Madrague which is two hundred yards away - carry on past this hotel and look for a sign to "Les Jardins". Friendly staff, small swimming pool and lush garden with tables and chairs. My room was spotlessly clean with marble bathroom and separate toilet, comfortable bed, balcony with views across to the mountains, air conditioning and free WiFi Internet. Despite the proximity to the airport, it was remarkably quiet and a lovely location. There's no bar or restaurant, but you can use the restaurant at the Hotel Madrague down the road, or as in my case have reception order a pizza and a chilled bottle of wine from the local take-away (free delivery). Breakfast was 9 Euro, a buffet with an excellent range including pancakes, bread, croissants, brioche, cakes, fruit, yoghurts, cheese, ham and eggs. Good value if you're a hearty eater, otherwise a little pricey if you're not.

Stayed the last night of our holiday here before a morning flight home. Very close to the airport , less than a mile, but rarely hear aircraft noise. Basic and a bit cobwebby but the rooms were good with soft beds and marble bathrooms with, on the ground floor, small terraces with seats in the grassy garden area. There is a pool and the breakfast was surprisingly good. Reasonably close to Bastia but more of an airport stopover hotel as it is in quite a secluded spot, apart from the airport. Friendly helpful staff. Car parking just outside in hotel car park. Maybe slightly overpriced but then this is Corsica!
