Liked: Listing accuracy
Unfortunately, this stay didn't go great for us. While this is a peaceful and beautiful rural location, there was unusually hot weather, which wasn't the fault of the host. We received no check in information before arrival. When we arrived at the property, the host happened to be onsite and was not aware that we had booked through VRBO (as they also appear to list in other places). I think it was just lucky that the property was available when we arrived. The host was eventually able to confirm the booking and got us the check in information but appeared to be in a hurry to leave. When we got into the property, we discovered there was only one towel for our family of three, we couldn't get the washing machine to work (which mattered a lot to us as we had been on the road for several days and needed to do laundry), and the property was unbearably hot inside (again, not the fault of the host). I notified the host of the issues, who indicated he would come back in the morning with towels and to assist with the washing machine. By mid-day the next day, the host had not returned and I never got any follow up communication. We had originally booked 2 nights, but decided after the first night, with the issues we were having, it would be best to book somewhere else for the second night, which is what we did.
