the location is excellent. we were told renos are happening but our unit was very sad. It appears the maintenance people are inexperienced or uncaring, or both. see the shower in Unit #37. Old cars stored on the lot are unsightly. Manager Allan was friendly and helpful. It worked out well for us but we are pretty rugged. The site COULD be outstanding but is not at the moment.

The property, although old, was a great place for us to stay one night. If you ride a motorcycle, like us, it was the perfect spot to stop and get a good nights sleep. Its well equipped should you stay more than one night. Our room was clean, functional and had no odor.

My only complaint was that they initially tried to put me in one the the worst cabins. When I complained they gave me one that was acceptable.

One Night Wonder - We Wondered why we stayed there. Office offered us a free upgrade to a 2 "bedroom" cabin - but it was really a 1 bedroom with a bunkbed next to the dining room table. Get Fresh Matching Sheet Sets-looked like someone's leftovers. If you are going to have kitchen appliances - like toaster - get a new one - and just have 1 of everything - toaster, coffee pot, microwave and make sure they are new and clean. Very run down - Nail holes in all of the walls; bathroom mirror on back of bathroom door held up with painters tape (or it had been left on from last paint job) Dirty - had to scrape old food off of cooktop with a razor blade; mold around tub; didn't even clean outside of toilet brush dispenser in bathroom Dishes dusty - and microwave sitting on top of fridge so would have had to move it to plug in - and it was dirty on the inside so decided against it. Main entry door looked like it was installed from another unit, as there were TWO doorknobs - one just above the other...- and NO DEADBOLT; 2 windows over kitchen installed one over the other. The Canmore town is really adorable - so spend the extra $ to stay downtown; building we were in really needs a major facelift.

Courteous and friendly staff. Second cabin we were in was clean but the shower and bathroom were small but manageable. Bed mattress needs to be updated (a bit to soft and could feel some of the inner springs). Grounds are kept up. Conveniently located near the highway.

Bed bugs?

The room smelled so bad. The cabin was probably 100 years old. The room was dusty and other reviews complained about bed bugs. We left and did not stay.
