Jack Pine Jr is a charming property, but we found the listing misleading. The bathroom is separate from the main cabin and, while fairly clean, is propane-based (so it functions—and smells—more like an outhouse, as waste remains in the toilet for the duration of the stay). Meanwhile, the “shower” is a camping shower (i.e. a non-heated water bladder, located outdoors). The images of the cabin and listed amenities do not make this clear (one of the outhouse/bathroom photos is even labelled sauna!) Ultimately, we left a day early and weren’t offered any refund or compensation for the remaining night, despite communicating our concerns with the listing being misleading.
That said, the cabin itself is quite nice, and if you’re looking for a more rustic experience, this could be a great fit. The host was responsive and the location is very nice. Just be prepared for more camping style amenities.
