Beautiful cottage

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit. The cottage is extremely clean and well kept. The location is wonderful. We would not hesitate to come back!

Beautiful cottage right on the water

It is a beautiful little cottage with amazing views of the ocean. Little further away from brunswick than anticipated but if you are planning to just spend week/end relaxing it is amazing.

We loved our stay at The Bober cottage! It has wonderful views and yard. We had a camp fire almost every night and two great places to eat right across the road.

What a beautiful, clean cottage. Walk across the street to dolphin marine rest. And be sure to stop at pammys ice cream parlor.

Lovely views of the sea and sea birds!

Lovely small cottage. Nice and quiet within walking distance to two eateries. Relatively private tucked in between two other homes. Storm damage had broken stairs to beach area but could access within a short walk. Nice and relaxing with no black flies like we have at home this time of year! Highly recommend homemade ice cream shop a short drive away that was always busy, with a line, but those ladies were fast and food excellent! Pammy’s Ice Cream Parlor. Wish we had stopped earlier in our stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful property; stunning setting; lovely outdoor spaces; easy walks to 2 eateries; great communication with the rental agency; super clean.Cottage is *exactly* as described, so no surprises. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils. Living room had nice supply of games and books. Upstairs bedroom was nicely decorated. Beautiful art on the walls.However, after 2 days it felt so much smaller! My husband is 6’ and could obviously not stand straight in the upstairs bedroom with 5’10” ceilings. Also the bathroom is extremely tight. No bending down in the shower! And a bit awkward freshening up with the tiny sink. We used the bunk room primarily as a place for our clothes etc.Overall I would recommend for a very short stay for a couple, but IMHO it’s not comfortable enough for longer periods. And I really can’t image more than 2 people (even couples with kids) in the cottage for longer stays

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent eight nights in the quaint Bober Fottage and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Prior to our arrival at the cottage, our vacation was not off to a good start, but once we arrived ant the cottage and found the towels, our vacation vastly improved. We loved exploring the rocky beach at low tide, and sitting in the yard watching the boats, the waves, and the chipmunk. The location was quiet and ideal if you are looking for someplace to get away from the hustle and bustle to just relax. Would love to stay here again if I ever get to return to Maine!

Wonderful stay at Bober cottage!

The view was breathtaking and the sunsets spectacular! This location was clean and well stocked and even provided seed for feeding beautiful hungry birds ! The property manager was very easy to reach and very responsive. It is a great space for two people and can accommodate 2 small children in bunk beds, just keep in mind there is only one (very small) bathroom.

Nice, clean cottage. Happily situated. Beautiful views.

The cottage was very clean, small, but perfect for two of us (we are on the shorter side) The property is very happily situated. Beautiful views with coffee in the morning and a fire at night. When the tide goes out taking a walk below on the shore. Walk across the street to Erica's Seafood or to the Dolphin Restaurant. A nice relaxing weekend.

Beautiful setting

The cottage is cozy. The bathroom is quite small and master bedroom has a low ceiling (6’ and you need to hunch over to get around), but we found these small prices to pay for the setting and views. Property was very clean and check in was simple/quick. We had one minor issue and the manager was very responsive. The two restaurants steps away from the place also were a terrific surprise. They were great!

Exceeded expectations

This review is based on a weeklong stay, two adults. The cottage is small -- might have felt tight if it were more than two of us. But it is so well planned, so well organized, that often you find yourself just admiring the layout. Beautiful and cozy. And the location is awesome. You are pretty much at the end of the road. Lobsters are sold at the pier across the street. The fire pit in the yard is killer. We would definitely come back here. Many fond memories of our weeklong stay at Bober Cottage.

We had a wonderful time in Harpswell and at the Bober Cottage! The cottage and the location were beautiful. Everything was clean and well put together. The sunsets were stunning. We loved it!

Teeny Vacation Capsule

This cottage is a lovely little place, out of the hustle and bustle but close to the most important amenity in Maine, a seriously good lobster shack across the road. My husband, brother and I recently spent a week and while we had some physical challenges with the space (we are all pretty tall and the cottage is low ceilinged and space limited as alluded to in the description) we truly enjoyed sitting every night out at the fire pit with only the most spectacular view stretched out before us. Some FYI's: beach towels are not offered and there was only a single bath towel provided per person for the week which wasn't enough. The upstairs bed is a double, not a queen. Without a dishwasher some of the pots and pans and assorted kitchen wares needed a serious cleaning. There was a general stinginess in the materials which felt a little less than welcoming (two rolls of TP for the week and if you took more than that you needed to replace, if you used any of the pantry items you needed to replace, etc). There is a small amount of housekeeping you are responsible for with this booking in making the beds upon arrival and gathering up all linens for the linen service at the end of your stay amongst the regular good guest duties like dishes and trash. Not a big deal at all, just worth mentioning as I was not expecting this. The property management was communicative and we could have been more vocal about the challenges we faced in the space. I honestly, just wanted to vacation and not deal with any of that so I didn't. If I had I'm certain we could have worked something out. All in all it was a very good stay and I would recommend to others (particularly couples or people who don't mind losing IQ points for every time they bang their head on the ceiling or door jams....).

Home away from home

This little cottage was just perfect! We loved all the personal touches - birdseed and dog treats. The space was decorated beautifully for a peaceful feeling as soon as you entered. We spent one entire afternoon just sitting outside and enjoying the view. There is nothing better than sleeping with the smell of salt air and the sound of the waves in the background. This was the perfect little retreat for us. We were spoiled with spectacular sunsets every evening as well.

Location, location, location!

Great little house, perfect for two. Perfect ocean access, incredible sunsets, fantastic lobster just across the street, very quiet, lovely wild life. We were very very happy with our stay, would come again anytime and recommend it without hesitation!

Private waterside retreat

Three of us--my husband and I and an adult friend--stayed here for a happy week. The house, though small, is extremely well provided and comfortable. It was very clean on our arrival, and the linens were plentiful and good quality. The kitchen has everything a serious cook would want. Although the house is just across the dirt road from a lobster stand (selling the absolute best lobster and crab rolls I've ever had), the sense of privacy and serenity is terrific. You're nicely tucked back and invisible from the road. Loads of places to swim nearby, including right from the property's shoreline. A great place to launch a kayak too. Everything about the rental process was easy; the agents are competent, friendly, and helpful, even calling us when we were on the road to direct us right to the house rather than to their office to save us time. All in all, obviously, a marvelous stay.
