Streamside treehouse in the Vermont forest with access to sauna
You will feel the stresses of life wash away as you sway in the trees and listen to the sounds of the beautiful stream just feet from the treehouse deck. You'll never want to leave! Enjoy a bit of solitude or some special alone time with a loved one. It's hard to beat Stone City Treehouse to make your time away special!
After your day of hiking, skiing, or touring local breweries and distilleries, come home to this beautiful, private tiny house in the trees! Or, just spend the day lazily relaxing by the fire and reading, while the sound of the stream soothes you.
Walk through the woods, up the stairs, and enter into another dimension - one that you won't want to leave! Much thought was put into the design and local, natural, and recycled materials were a priority in its construction.
Reserve the beautiful, new wood-fired sauna to add to your relaxation and healing experience. (While there is no additional cost, reservations are required and instructions for this are provided upon reservation).
Enjoy the deck that overlooks the year-round stream (that may be frozen over in the winter) and let the sound of the water wash through you. You may even see some critters if you're still enough!
There is a sweet sitting area, hammock, and campfire space just below the treehouse right on the stream, with a dramatic view of the treehouse. And a hanging bed for long, lazy rests underneath!
We prioritize our earth and take environmental considerations into every decision: we generate solar electricity; we compost and recycle; we use environmentally friendly cleaning products; we avoid disposable items as much as possible; and we used many local and recycled materials in the construction of the treehouse.
The interior structure is 10'x16' with a loft and the deck is 4'x16'.
The vacation home is heated and features a kitchenette, 1.5 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Other standard amenities include a washing machine and an ironing board.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in the treehouse. No cell phone service or TV, a relaxing stream and no stress was just what we needed. The cabin is well furnished, checking was easy and the bonus shower rounded out an excellent stay. We will be coming back again and have already recommended to our friends.

Such a magical experience — words can hardly do it justice. From the sound of the creek flowing through the pine forest just across from the treehouse, to the outdoor bed draped with a canopy and fairy lights, to the patio overlooking this enchanting forest scene — every detail transports you to a place you may not have felt in a long time. It’s the perfect spot for romance and a true tech detox.Even in August, Vermont nights are cool, so we stayed cozy while enjoying the forest breeze and nature’s soundtrack. This “return to earth” retreat is ideal for those who crave the peace of camping but still appreciate the comforts of a forest cabin. Our host was absolutely wonderful — warm, thoughtful, and welcoming — greeting us with a basket of treats and fresh flowers. We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay next time!
