Family Ski Trip

The house accommodated our family very well. The layout of the bedrooms & baths worked out perfectly and the beds were comfy. Parking 2 cars in the garage was a huge plus. My grandchildren especially enjoyed the ping pong table and basement area.

Our Michigan Retreat

We are former Michiganders who now live in Reno. We brought our new Reno friends to explore our favorite spots in Michigan. Our stay at this property was definitely a highlight of our trip to Northern Michigan. We had plenty of room for 6 couples. We each had our own bedroom and bath. The weather cooperated and we enjoyed a relaxing time on the back deck. Vacation Properties kept us informed with everything we needed. Everything was wonderful. I definitely recommend staying here if you are considering a stay in Birchwood Farms.

Wonderful Getaway

This is a beautiful place! It is perfectly situated to get to multiple attractions. Whether a small town stroll or just a quick ride to the Great Lake scenic drive and walk among the dunes. This is a fantastic place!

Snow Huskies weekend

Really enjoyed the house. Only exception was the 4th bedroom that was apparently a kids room where the twin beds had plastic on the mattresses and were too short for an adult. Overall however this was a great house and we would definitely rent it again.

Lovely home…mostly

Home is, for the most part, spacious and well-equipped. Exceptionally clean, tidy, with great woodland views off the back of the house. However, there were two issues that, if resolved, could improve the property: 1) hook up a water line to the fridge so you can get water and ice from the door; 2) redo the showers. All the showers are small and cramped, and outdated. The master en-suite is huge, with a beautiful jetted tub, but the shower is outdated and itty bitty, with a cantilevered door. Because I have mobility issues, it just didn’t work as well as I had hoped!

The house was very roomy and clean. It was supplied with everything we needed. I would stay again. The only thing we struggled with was getting the tv on the channel we wanted. I would stay there again.

Summer family fun

The home was beautiful- just as advertised. The kitchen was nicely updated and the living area was perfect for family to spend time together. The screened porch was a nice bonus and my young grandson loved the ping pong table in the lower level. The location was perfect- easy walk to the Birchwood Club amenities. Our family loved our stay!

Quiet home down the road from lake MI cities

This home is quiet and out of the way, without truly being out of the way. Right down the road is a family favorite, Pond Hill Farms. It’s also a 20 minute drive from Petoskey, even closer still is downtown harbor springs. Boyne is just a bit further down the road. Tons of activities and amazing restaurants nearby for families, or romantic getaways. The house itself has a large master, a large deck to enjoy that looks into the woods and is expertly placed so as to give the feeling of seclusion, two bedrooms upstairs as well as a bathroom, and an in law suite above the garage. Tons of windows allow in the light, and the appliances are high end in the kitchen. Our first thought walking into the kitchen was, “hosting a large holiday dinner here would be a dream!”. We enjoyed this property for an anniversary trip with a toddler and infant along with us, and We hope to return with extended family. The clubhouse on property is pricey if you are not planning to return multiple times throughout the season so we were unable to enjoy any of those amenities, but plenty of golf is available in the area. Early week day tee times seemed to be the easiest to book and most cost proficient. Lovely home, quiet location, incredible deck, and the game room downstairs would make it tons of fun for kids and teens.

Great house

Would rent again. Would ask if I can rent in the summer? jacuzzi bath, jets not working. fireplace would like to use it. no complaints. We are a fellow Michigan family. Daughter was captain of swim dive team. Good skiing by the way.

Beautful, relaxing home

Beautiful home and setting, comfortable beds and space to gather. Enjoyed ping pong and foosball and the well stocked kitchen. Freezing outdoor temps left the house a bit chilly, but the small electric heater warmed it up. Great home for our ski weekend.

Cozy and spacious home

We came to harbor springs area for a group ski trip. Our stay at this home was fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed, the whole house was tidy and clean. Plenty of extra blankets to snuggle with at night. The beds were very comfortable and the entertainment of ping pong and foosball downstairs gave our teens some entertainment. If we had one complaint it would be that the windows were drafty so parts of the home were cold. This neighborhood, Birchwood Farms, is so scenic and well manicured. We hope to come back again

Pleasant stay - quiet neighborhood

Our family had a very nice stay at this property. The community is nicely maintained, quiet, and scenic. The house was very comfortable for five adults and has a well equipped kitchen which you will likely want given it would be a bit of a drive to go out for dinner (not terrible, but more relaxing to stay in if you had already been out for the day). There is some floor repair needed in the finished basement and I was told that will be complete at the end of the month. My only disappointment with the listing is they didn't disclose the amount of the "additional fee" charged by the community association if you want to use any of their facilities. Regardless of length of stay, I was told the fee is $750! Of course, that doesn't include any rounds of golf, meals, etc. I had hoped to just use the fitness center but certainly not for that much. I know the property manager has no control over what the association charges, just wish it was disclosed in the listing. My bad for assuming it would be a reasonable amount without asking for specifics.

good, but

everything as described. only issues were 1. very loud inside house. when house was built the floors were only nailed down, not glued. consequently, almost every step taken makes a noise which then, due to style of house, echoes throughout. 2. tried using comforter in closet. it had strong beer/alcohol odor. it's currently on shelf in master closet. 3. dryer hard to start. must press and hold start button for nearly a minute. took awhile to figure that out
