Extremely disappointed with the service. I had made a booking, which was confirmed. The next day I got an email to say I have been relocated to another hotel due to availability issues, without my agreement. No apologies, no information! I would not recommend this to anyone - you don't want to find yourself in a situation where you think you have a booking and they cancel it last minute out of nowhere!
I stayed for 1 night in November 2017 during Agritechnika and my experience was a really bad one. The check-out was a total disaster. The staff on the morning of 16 November was very unprofessional and my experience was unpleasant. Due to some of my morning meetings, I asked to check-out an hour later than the regular check out time of 11 o'clock (I wanted to check out at 12 o'clock) and the staff told me that they cannot accommodate as the hotel was full. Well, this I can understand, because when it is full, it is full. However, they then told me that I need to pay extra money (Eur 15) if I would like to check out at 12 o'clock!!! This is insane, if your hotel is fully booked and you cannot accommodate a late check out, that's fine; but why are you trying to charge money to your business visitors while you were already selling your rooms at a very expensive rate! The hotel already jacked up its price by almost 4 times than their regular price (I paid Eur 260/night), but it is understandable because during the popular trade shows that's what happens in German cities. But why are you trying to charge even more for something that most hotels do complimentary??? I think I know the answer: I believe the hotel staff members are trying to take advantage of their business visitors at peak seasons. I have stayed at so many hotels during major trade shows across Europe and I haven't experienced anything like this before. To all readers: do not stay at this hotel during big trade shows! Full stop! As for the positive things about the hotel, I enjoyed the breakfast, the selections were good and the staff members were professional. I also found the check-in staff members on the night of 15 November professional. By mistake, they gave me a smoking room and the room was smelling really bad. However, they were able to change my room. So a big thank you to the waiters at the breakfast hall and the staff at the front desk on the evening of 15 November 2017; however, I will never stay at your hotel again!
I needed a hotel for one night and this hotel was good value and suited my needs. Check-in was efficient and my room although basic was clean and the bed was comfortable with a good size bathroom. I had dinner at the restaurant and food was good value and very nice. Breakfast was very good also. Staff were efficient and helpful. I needed to park my car and there was free parking. The only problems I had was the hotel is up a long drive and there was no sign at the entrance and I missed the hotel and had to turn around and come back. As it was raining there was nowhere close to reception to park your car to drop your bags. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again.
Stayed early July 2017 Me and my girlfriend stayed here over night as part of a much larger road trip. We found the hotel to be located in a very quiet area, although there was some unused (almost wasteland) areas on the approach and cheaper housing nearby, the hotel grounds were tidy and welcoming (being summer time everything was green and lovely). We didn't hear any noise from the surrounding area. There was a decently sized free car park at the rear. I didn't see any cameras or security fencing but it all seemed very quiet and safe. Some people had left their bicycles attached to the back of their car when we arrived and they were still present when we left the next morning. We found the staff to be friendly and spoke very good English (our German leaves something to be desired). There was no fuss or difficulties during check in. The room wasn't overly big but was suitable for us as was a short stay. The bathroom was small but okay for us as only a short stay. Shower was good and powerful. There was plenty of storage space with built in wardrobes within the room. The room was actually split in two with the front door, wardrobes and bathroom door located in the entrance part and the beds, desk and tv etc. In the next section. The tv had a good range of channels in various languages available including English (not just news channels either, found myself watching scrubs and grays anatomy). The windows were secure and opened wide. There was no air conditioning in the room. There was no mini bar or tea/coffee facilities either though we were provided with two bottles of complimentary water. The wifi was free and pretty fast as we managed to stream documentaries on Netflix and YouTube. We didn't have dinner or breakfast but there appeared to be a good amount of choice for breakfast. There's also a Lidl a couple minute walk away which was good to pick up any food we wanted. Our room was on the first floor but through several corridors. It's all signposted but it was a bit of a maze to get from reception to the room as the hotel is fairly large. One minor thing we noted is that we did book a double room but got only two double beds. This didn't bother us to much as we simply pushed the beds together. I would recommend this hotel.
This is in the main area of Hannover city. Nice place for business stay in Hannover city. Open garden & rooms are quite bigger than other hotels. Food is also good. Clean, good service to customers. Best place in normal rates to stay.
I've spent two nights for business reasons. The room was clean and quite. Breakfast was very good with many options. I had also dinner which was quite fair for hotel restaurant. It was a good choice value for money
This is basic accommodation, though some rooms benefit from having a hob and fridge!. My room was quite small but good enough, clean, with a internal door to keep the noise out a bit. However it is rather easy to hear people in adjoining rooms or rooms above, so you are depending on good neighbours. (If like me you are noise sensitive, get a room in an outlying block, on the top floor) Excellent breakfast. Hot items, eggs bacon sausage and beans and cold meats, breads, Fruits youghurt muesli continental stuff. Really good restaurant. We stayed a week and we're happy to dine here daily. Large meals plenty of side choices. Very friendly staff who were very helpful. Plenty of parking was available.
Located some distance from city centre & connecting public transport & adjacent to building sites, this was a surprisingly quiet hotel. Lots of business travellers and sports people during our visit. the restaurant staff offered a varied menu at very reasonable prices and served by very efficient and pleasant staff. The room was bright and spotlessly clean. Reception staff were not so friendly or helpful. Not the place for tourists.
Put up at this location given we stayed in Hannover during the exhibition period and hotels were scarce. Room was of comfortable size, however the single beds did not cut it for me. It feels more like a hostel with cheap mattress and unbelievably unstructured pillows. Not something I would expect from a 3 stars accommodation. It helped that the breakfast spread was pretty good, and hotel was conveniently located from the airport (15 - 20 mins by cab) and easily accessible to the bus stop (approx 5-7mins walk). Do take note there are hardly any activities to be done near the hotel. The supermarket located outside the hotel (LIDL) is closed on Sundays, and your best bet for any food/drinks would be at the Central Station or have them in the hotel.
I stay in GHOTEL bcause it is really in walkable distance to Hannover Medical School. Never understand why a 3 star hotel does not provide a electric hot water pot within the room, for the sake of convenience to its customer. As weather in Hannover during January is always below zero celsius, anyone would definitely agree to have a hot drink is almost a necessary thing after whatever day they have. Because of such a deficiency, I need to walk from my room to the restaurant to get a free cup of hot water, each and every time I need one. The walking is almost 1-2 mins, passing through several doors and stairs....when I ask the reception to change to a room with kitchenette on my first day of arrival, (that is with electric hot water pot only), the reception lady just said "not available". Maybe single room does not have such a facility?? The only good thing is the breakfast, fresh with varieties, the food is almost immediately refilled by those hardworking staff in the restaurant. But I do think the restaurant need to expand a bit in area and the number of tables, as it is always full during dinner time. The truth behind is the hotel is in poor location, so people decide to stay behind for dinner during this winter time. Because of this poor location, it is only convenient for those travellers with car.
