I was there with my boyfriend and the people who attended us was super kind and nice. They also are very dog friendly and the breakfast is very good and with a lot of different things. that was my second time there. I can recommend it to anyone,
Stayed here for 1 night. The hotel is a bit dated, and rooms could do with a bit of TLC. But, it was still a pleasant stay - room was spacious, with tea & coffee facilities; bed was comfy, bathroom was clean and functional. Free Wi-Fi & large car park was also very convenient. The young gent at reception was great - lovely, very polite & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast in the morning was tasty & well cooked, with plenty of options to chose from. Good value for money.
Stayed here during a business trip during the Cebit week. It doubles the price which for this hotel is much too expensive but ok. The decor is outdated and could use a freshen up. Rooms are ok but shower is terrible. Does not work very good and impossible to get the correct mix of hot and cold. Breakfast is really good and staff is friendly.
We stayed at the Balladins Superior Hotel, Peine on our 6th evening riding to Berlin. It was everything we needed, and a quirky shower room arrangement as well. The bedrooms were one of the most generous proportions of all the hotels we stayed in, and the restaurant did a good, reasonably priced steak, as well.
Decent, simple hotel about a 30 minute enjoable walk into Peine. Our room was facing the highway but still very quiet when window was closed. I don't know about air conditioning though in summer. Bring your own shampoo. Soap was tiny. You get access to a gym close to the hotel and I heard the facility was excellent. Decent breakfast buffet.
This hotel has about 75 bedrooms and I would class as a budget business hotel. We stayed for a week and found the staff all speak some English and are friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic, and in good condition. In the rooms, the sink is not in a separate area, but part of the bedroom. Only the shower and toilet is separate. Important to know if two colleagues are sharing. Breakfast is good, but the space is small, and we were staying during a big event in Hannover so it was busy and hard to get a table unless you turned up early enough. Meals in the restaurant are great - large portions, and a reasonable selection with great service. Note that there is no restaurant on Saturday evenings. There was a table with complementary snacks and drinks, and wifi was free and worked well. It's located next to the a2 but could not hear the noise from it. The walls are a little thin so it is possible to hear the person next door, or in the hallway, but this was not a problem. A small tip, there was no power socket next to the bed, but I found one under the bathrooms sink. If you have a reasonably long cable you will be able to have your phone on your bed side! Maybe bring a small extension lead if this is important to you. A pleasant stay and we would definately return
A pretty basic hotel but offered good value for money for what you get. Decor was a bit dated but didn't matter. Meals were nice in restaurant. English speaking which was good. Wi fi didn't seem to work properly. Would stay there again. We were in a twin room.
There are not many choices in Peine, but we were positively surprised to find the Balladins was clean and reasonably priced. Nothing luxurious, but nothing lacking. The property offers a large parking lot. We arrived late at night and the staff were willing to open up the bar for us and offer us some drinks. There was TV, Internet and a large shower in the room. For a budget hotel, it is not a bad choice.
Had little to no choise for a stop during my bicycle trip in Germany. Ended up in Peine in the Balladins on Whitsun Monday. Restaurant and bar staff had their holiday like many others in restaurants in Germany on that day. So, limited service in a hotel which came across desolate. Rooms are very basic, sink in the room in stead of in the bathroom. Location of the hotel is outside of Peine. My dinner that evening was a take-away pizza ordered by front desk staff. Breakfast was just OK. The hotel has absolutely no atmosphere or charme.
The Hotel is located on a major street crossing right next to the A2 Autobahn which makes access to Peine, Braunschweig and Hannover easy. The Autobahn is close but not to hear and one has not to worry about a quiet night sleep. The elevator for the two floors is super-slow, the double room contains two large, separated beds (120 cm wide, each) but when you and your spouse want to share one bed it's a bit too small. The beds are not movable so you can't push them together. The bathroom is like Spaceship Enterprise and standing in the very spacious shower you want to call: "Scotty, beam me up!" Even the water waits to be 'beamed up' since it doesn't run away into the sewage by itself. The sink is not in the bathroom but outside next to the bathroom door, next to the bed. The Hotel supplies Tee and Coffee facilities in the room, TV, hair dryer and free wireless Internet. Breakfast Buffet is good, get your coffee from the coffee maker, not from the Thermos on the table. Large parking. There are smoking rooms available.
