This motel has two type of rooms. The chalet type is situated in front of a quiet road and is specious with all the comfort you wish: a fully equiped kitchen with dining area., bed and coach. The room has a very high ceiling and the bathroom is separated, however the toilet is partly separated and a door would be the finishing touch.. Towards the street there is a small terrace with bench. Good location. Very recommendable.

This motel is directly across from the thermal springs, just down the street from the center of town, which is only a few minutes walk. The owners are very nice and provide towels for the springs. The rooms are basic, but clean.

Nice and tidy unit. A bit small for 3 people but suitable if it's just an overnight stay. A little dated and cracked tiles in the bathroom that could be tidied up. Everything is within walking distance to the motel.

Great wee spot. I dug the Lockwood style rooms and the location is top notch being literally right across the road from the hot pools. We were in room 13 which had a great outlook over the gardens. Everything you could need is in the room. I turned the fridge off while we slept coz the compressor was a bit annoying but other than that? "Sweet as". Would definitely stay again

On a stiflingly hot afternoon we headed away from the coast at Waipara and headed inland to Hanmer Springs and the Alpine Lodge Motel. The hotel is on the Main Street, although the entrance is on Harrogate Road. We were greeted by the owners at check-in, they were very friendly and helpful and they walked us over to our room. The units here are all single-storey and ranged around a courtyard/car park. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. Almost immediately, we headed to the Springs and were given pool towels by our hostess to save renting them at the Thermal Springs. The Springs are directly across the road from this motel. Town itself, was less than 3 minutes on foot from the motel too. We did have a problem with Wi-fi, but the owners managed to rectify the fault quickly and made a point of coming across to our room to give us a new password and let us know it was sorted. It’s a great place to stay if you are going to the Thermal Springs, clean, comfortable and good value for money

Let’s start at the top. Location 5 right opposite the pools with plenty of parking and d garden setting. Service 4 we found they hosts to be pleasant and accommodating Cleanliness 3 most areas were clean with lovely linen but there were many old drooping cobwebs Facilities 2 the shower was a dribble and the elements on the stove required patience of job plus all three beds were sagging and very old Finally mobility safety. ONLY 1 We booked this motel above other nicer places as it had a mobility unit. These were our issues The doormat directly inside front door was ripped with loose trip hazards. The furniture protruded out from the bed into the only walkway to the bathroom. The bathroom while large had a four meter stretch from toilet to shower with absolutely no hand holds. The shower had NO handrails at all and my father had a close call whilst showering. Just unacceptable as a advertised mobility unit

We had a lovely night stay and found the location really handy distance to the town, restaraunts and hot pools. Check in and out was very easy with a lovely friendly host. We did find the room a little dated and run down compared to the price paid, outside was lovely and setting quiet and private. Just small things like mould in the bathroom celining corner, broken and cracked tiles around the plug in bathroom, small stuff that really doesn't affect the enjoyment of the stay but dies affect the value of a dollar. Would stay again but would perhaps look a cheaper price.

This motel is situated perfectly for exploring Hanmer Springs on foot. Right opposite the hot springs and next to the main street with all bars and restaurants, The room was fine with clean, comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom with hot water shower and toiletries. Parking is easy with a space for each unit right in front of the room. Friendly and helpful owners/staff. They also provide towels for use at the hot springs - saves you a few dollars and a nice touch! Would stay again and will recommend.

We had just two nights at this motel in a studio unit. Plenty of space with car parking in front of the unit. A bit dated and must be due for repainting and change of layout. Unusual cabinetry and not suitable for self catering. Bedside clock not able to be adjusted & one light not working. The weather was very warm but no electric fan was provided. Bedding was comfortable & bathroom facilities were adequate.

Pleasant stay. Room could do with a makeover very dated. Small bed room had a side light but no power plug handy to plug it in. Also had two beds in it but nowhere to put bags. Fridge very noisy needed to turn off at night. Very handy to town and hot pools
