Maria and especially Esteban were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The Ocean Deluxe rooms had panoramic views of a big wide ocean and sky with rugged coastline stretching away into the distance, the Tahai Moais and the surf. Breakfast was simple but great for us. The room was safe, cleaned daily but old and in need of minor repairs. There was plenty of hot water. There was no TV, phone, air con, tea or coffee or tissues in the room. The bed was pretty good. Short walk from everything. The exchange rate was no good.

Staying at Hara Nui Hotel was one of the highlights of our trip to Easter Island! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The amazing girls at the front desk were absolutely wonderful—always smiling, super helpful, and ready with great tips for exploring the island. Whether it was helping us book tours, recommending local spots, or just chatting with us about the island’s culture, they were a total joy to interact with every day. We also had the pleasure of meeting Sebastián, the owner, who was just as friendly and welcoming. You can tell he truly cares about his guests and takes pride in making sure everyone has an unforgettable experience. Another bonus? Their laundry service was top-notch! Quick, efficient, and our clothes came back fresh and neatly folded—such a lifesaver after a few adventurous days on the island. If you’re heading to Easter Island, Hara Nui Hotel is the place to stay. Amazing people, great service, and a warm, welcoming vibe that makes it hard to leave. Five stars all the way!

We spent 6 nights here and our experience overall was very good. Located slightly out of town, the hotel consists of very well appointed cabins each of which shares a common area. The rooms were nicely furnished, very clean and well stocked with linens, shampoo etc. maid service was very good. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was very good; we arranged to include it in our rate although many others chose full board—I would take advantage of a number of good restaurants in town and leave the hotel grounds. We rented motor scooters and explored the island. We had a 1 day tour with a tour sponsored by the hotel which was helpful for background information on the Rapa Nui culture.

Whoever answers the phone cannot speak english at all. So setting up a shuttle ride is impossible. Once on property, however, there is a very nice man that can. My room had no TV and in the morning, no hot water.
