This property excels at everything. Rooms are spacious with a separate big bath tub, sitting area, closet/dressing area, and sitting space outside. Extremely well thought out room with great amenities. Fridge, coffee/tea making items, TV, adapter, hair dryer, robes, slippers, bags to be used around the property (especially useful to go to the pool), comb (and all the usual bath amenities) are all very considerate. Spa, restaurants, pools, gym, and all - just an amazing place to stay.
This hotel is very beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. However the room had a big ant problem and after mentioning it to the staff three times, no action was taken.
I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at The Veranda Chiangmai. It was a wonderful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff was very accommodating with the shuttle schedule (could also be dropped off or picked up when the bus was headed into the city to pick up a group). The grounds were beautiful and I enjoyed my time at the tranquil pool. Two things that I would change: -Dinner menu: Some items on the menu are poorly translated and are not as they seem. Quality of desserts could be better. -Information about the shuttle into town: One Sunday evening we went into town for the Night Market. It would have been helpful if the hotel staff or driver would have mentioned that the majority of the vendors were at the Sunday Market. We just took at tuk tuk to get there, but more information about which markets are best on which days would be great!
