Can’t imagine anyone complaining about this property. The house, location, amenities and thoughtfulness of hosts was excellent. We stayed for 2 weeks and could have stayed longer. Although we went to many surrounding towns, our favorite activity was sitting around the fire pit for hours reading, eating s’mores, and the family just talking. Wonderful vacation!

We loved staying here. The sunsets from the balcony were stunning. We found the kitchen well stocked and appreciated the extra Maine treats left for us. After hiking, the hot tub felt great. We really enjoyed the 2 places we tried from the recommendations--Provender and Little Notch Bakery. The game room was great on the one rainy afternoon. We all want to visit again.

We have stayed at dozens of VRBOs and this was the best! The house and amenities were perfect setting to discover Maine. We have 9 family members and everyone was comfortable and happy!! The kitchen is well stocked. They provided so many special touches. My grandson LOVED the smores and fire pit. The game room provided great entertainment on the rainy day. Again thoughtful touches with popcorn and snacks to make our family game day marathon a big success. The house was amazing. Absolutely no complaints. The owners were very quick to respond with any needs. We had a 2 year old and everything was there to use (pack and play, high chair and toys). The location was also a treasure. We do a lot of cooking, so having a grocery store near by was convenient. The drive over to Acadia was pretty and not too far. Just a perfect Maine vacation!!!

This beautiful property has a lot to offer. The hosts are wonderful. Family visited Acadia National Park for two days and this property was perfect as a “home base”. 20 minutes from bar harbor, the chalet has amazing ocean views. Great for big families because of how spacious it is. Very clean and owners go above and beyond to make you feel at home! Would highly recommend.

Our new favorite place to stay
We go up to the Bar Harbor/Ellsworth a few times a year as we have family there and are completely in love with the area. We stumbled upon this gem in a last minute decision to go up for the holiday weekend to see family. This was our favorite place we have stayed in the area!Let’s start with the pros:Spacious and bright open concept home with a gorgeous view of the bay. You don’t see any other neighbors. There is a small stream with a tiny waterfall that runs down along the property, so sitting on the deck we could hear it running into the bay. The bedrooms are spaced out nicely and the living room/dining room/deck have plenty of seating. The game room was a huge hit with adults and kids and the hot tub was crystal clear and smelled clean (I’m super picky about this as I will not go in a hot tub that smells unbalanced due to high bacteria but I was in this hot tub 3 times!). Master suite is an absolute dream with a huge closet and spacious bathroom, not to mention you open your eyes to views of sparkling water. Cons:Having to go home. Also, the driveway can be a little tricky but once you pull in it’s so private and beautiful. We were so excited to be the first guests at this house and were really pleased with how much thought was put into the details. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the home, the location, and the hosts!
