The ocean view was great from the lanai! - great location and very convenient to all the sites on the north shore! Having the coffee shop and restaurant on the premises was a great bonus. We enjoyed our stay at this older hotel that continues to be well maintained.

The location is perfect! Enjoyed the deck, the kitchen, the living room, and 2 bathrooms! There were ample towels and 2 beach chairs and an umbrella provided. We loved the constant sound of the ocean and the quietness of our neighbors.

Gorgeous views. Sleep to crashing waves. On site restaurant Gaia is excellent. The condo is not new ... its worn. Everything works, we loved it, but if your accustom to 4 or 5 star hotels you need to lower the bar a bit.

This is a beautiful secluded rental right on the beach. It is a bit rustic with minimal amenities but you don’t need much when you are on the beach. Be aware that it is past the Hanalei bridge which has a possibility of flooding and closing the road. This was a stressor for our stay since we were there during an unusual Kona storm, but the bridge remained open and we were told it rarely happens. Overall I recommend if you are looking for a more secluded vacation.

The resort property is well maintained, quiet, and beautiful. The staff was friendly. We loved having breakfast on the porch every morning listening to the waves and watching the misty rain. Snorkeling gear was provided and Tunnels Beach was close. Absolutely wonderful.

Our stay was everything we hoped for. The view was fantastic, and the unit was nice and well-stocked with cooking supplies and recreational gear. We swam at the beach just west of the complex, it was safe in most conditions and there was some nice coral. Dinner at the Opakapaka was great. We have real affection for this place now and hope to return sometime.

Overall reviews of this property from others are pretty acurate with these additional comments about our stay: -The wonderful view of the ocean was spoiled by dirty windows and screens. -A strong septic/sewer smell around the building at times depending on the breeze.

Wonderful stay in Hanalei

Beautiful location…amazing views…sea breezes.If you are looking for a busy or wild property, this is not for you. We enjoyed the space of the apartment, the restaurant/bar and the pool/hot-tub. Did I mention the view…and the north coast location? I hope to be back

The views from the second floor deck are fabulous. Although there was no AC, the ceiling fans were very good circulating air. The bed was comfortable. The remote location is a good setting. Pool area redone and very nice. Restaurant was closed. The condo is old and not updated. Window seals broken and inoperative window closures. Kitchen marginal. We will not be staying here again.

Peaceful location and gorgeous view at Hanalei Colony Resort

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I stayed at Hanalei Colony for 8 nights at the end of March and we loved the beautiful view of the ocean and wonderful sunrise each morning. The location provides a nice restaurant and coffee shop on property that both offered great quality and friendly service. Saw and spoke with many locals each morning while grabbing coffee. The resort was very clean and staff were friendly. If you’re looking for a place to have some peace and stay apart from the larger crowds with less people, this is the place. Although it is away from larger areas, just a short 10-20 minute drive gets you to Hanalei and Princeville that offer plenty of restaurants, shopping and grocery supplies. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again!

Incredible views from the balcony/ deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean!!! Fantastic location with close proximity to Tunnels Beach, Haena SP, Napali SP, and the town of Hanalei. Beautiful resort property with a restaurant as well as a massage therapist within a 1 minute walk. We had a beachside couples massage that was AMAZING!!!!

Amazing location and ocean front view!

Cozy little place. It’s a bit dated but doesn’t matter as its well equipped and has amazing ocean front location. Everything you need but no TV which was actually cool as we preferred to watch the ocean anyway!

What a view!

Hanalei Colony Resort is an incredible property. Beautiful grounds and great location. The view from unit J3 is just spectacular. The unit could use some updating but very comfortable.
