It was so open not stuffy at all makes you feel really comfortable and taken care of, lots of stuff to do

Beautiful property. Amazing views. Great amenities. Very friendly staff, very attentive.

This property is in a beautiful location, with views you won’t get anywhere else in Maui. The staff was extremely warm and helpful and the food is excellent. One fair warning though, the rooms do not have AC. Even with the breeze off the ocean, you’re still not going to be cool. It makes it tough to want to go on hikes or spend a day at the beach because you want to come back to your room and cool off but don’t have that option. I would not recommend going in summer months.

Beautiful property and the staff was so welcoming and helpful.

The location was amazing loved watching the sunrise

A great hotel for someone seeking quiet and isolation.

Travaasa is truly an experience like no other. The hotel is isolated. There are amazing views of the ocean and the hotel staff is so kind and helpful. The land is huge so they do complimentary golf cart services to your room front to other parts of the hotel. They are an experiential resort so they have activities going on all day. They also adopted a no tipping policy so you don’t need to tip the golf cart drivers or the maid. All in all an excellent experience.

We enjoyed our stay at Travaasa Hana. Food is awesome; staff made you feel at home; grounds are well kept and absolutely beautiful: cultural activities for all ages. People of the area always willing to share their story about their life in Hana, whether born or came to the island to live. The locals love to share their history of island of Hana and their island of Maui.

A beautiful hotel steeped in old world charm, incredible customer service, and restful, peaceful, bliss!

Yard is beautiful, room is big and condition is OK, but there was animal in room eating the cake. So we had to change a room. Location is good. Price is too high which is over charged. Every thing else is great.

We are a couple who's last child just left for college. We were celebrating our anniversary. We stayed the first four days at the Maui Hyatt and then made the famous drive to Hana. We stayed four days at Travaasa. Completely different experiences but both fun. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Very relaxing and private feeling. Not touristy at all, how I imagine all of Hawaii used to be. Central location in town so we were able to walk easily to everything. It was Aloha week when we were there (Oct). Each night there was a different celebration in the school park behind the resort. We would wander down and buy some of the food and listen to the music. Many hiking places nearby. No air conditioning in our room but the ceiling fans and breeze were enough to keep us comfortable. Hana does not have a lot of restaurants but there are opportunities to have roadside bbq etc. I will definitely go back to Travaasa!

Beautiful location. Iffy waitstaff in the restaurant. The Spa is amazing. When I was there there was a horrible storm. It would have been nice to have a television in the bungalow.

I was not aware that a "garden view" room was not the bungalow-style room that I thought I was booked. I knew the rooms were not air-conditioned but assumed do to the proximity of the ocean that air was not needed. WRONG!! When we initially entered the room it was unbearably hot. My whole family was sweating within 5 minutes despite having all possible windows/doors opened. I went to the front desk to inquire about paying for an upgrade to a room closer to the ocean (which I assumed would be cooler) and was told that since they weren't able to see what I had paid for my room, they weren't able to tell me how much it would be to upgrade. What?!? Then they said there were no ocean view rooms available, even though the resort seemed pretty empty. So, we stuck it out in the garden view room, which was extremely uncomfortable, for two nights. They did bring us a fan but it was completely inadequate to cool the room. This was a very nice resort, EXCELLENT staff, but our overall impression of the property was ruined because we were just so miserably hot. In addition to that, the screened doors did not close properly and allowed bugs in, so we were all covered with mosquito bites by the time we left. Obviously I can't recommend the garden view rooms, but I think if we had booked an ocean view it would have been a more pleasant stay.

Open Hot tub closed spa empty but not allowed in. Mattress way too soft, room hard to control temperature and privacy.. Overall low value for money
