A Wonderful Anniversary Experience at the Hana Maui Resort by Hyatt!! The entire staff at breakfast was great! Since we had an extended stay, we meet and got to know many of the staff at the resort and restaurant. They were very sweet and made us feel like family. All the drivers were very helpful and had great tips on things to do in HANA. In the Art gallery we found extraordinary gifts that helped tremendously with making the visit to Hana and the resort memorable. We had an incredible Anniversary experience and the resort and staff made it possible.

Disappointing visit

Sad experience. The on site restaurant, which had been excellent, was closed and the replacement is down the street, and underwhelming. The concierge gave us bad information (which I’ve never had happen at a hotel before). The staff disappeared when it was time to help us find our room. Still a beautiful place to be, but it’s less than it was on our previous visits. Obvious deferred maintenance.

Awesome location, infinity pool with ocean view - nothing beats that! Only one restaurant (being in a remote location, it’s understandable) but fortunately, the restaurant has many really good options; great food and excellent service. My husband and I stayed at the Hana Maui resort for our honeymoon. We stayed for 10 nights, which we were quickly told by locals is much longer than most people tend to stay in Hāna. We are so glad that we did! This resort is beautiful, clean, and perfect for anyone who enjoys a quiet stay. Upon checking in we were given a free upgrade without even asking! Staff are very kind and helpful, and they have golf carts available to drive you between locations at the resort. We would highly recommend trying the water journey at the spa!

The ocean/mountain/ground views were unique, and beautiful. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, nice and went out of their way to be helpful. The bungalow was exceptional, with views, close to parking lot, and roomy. No TV. What a great idea.

The oldest hotel on Maui. Beautifully manicured grounds, very peaceful. Our room was quite sizable in one of the cottages. Quite pricey, but as it is remote and you get the 5* experience despite the fact that you can see the hotel isn’t the most modern. Overall wonderfull and very friendly staff!

expectations deflated

Great location but no direct access to the beach. No spa available without a fee when the cost is so pricey already. Bathroom needs to be updated. The pictures look better than in real person. In addition, I went back after checkout bc we left our beach towel in the room. While waiting, new people checking in received a drink and a lei but we didn't when we checked in the day before. This kind of different/inconsistent treatment is infuriating and sends a very negative vibe about the place/people working there.
