PRO- Attractive reception area, restaurant and pool area. Private beach is so close with lovely, turquoise water! Also, the hotel offers complimentary beach umbrellas and chairs. CON- Roaches present in room, broken blinds required maintenance, and my room was like a basement apartment- partially subterranean.

The beach and the grounds are beautiful, but there needs to be more attention paid to cleaning and fixing things that are crumbling, cleaning windows and floors in the main house etc. The bedrooms are just ok. They are putting fortunes into new additions and seem to be somewhat overlooking the existing property. That said, the property has lovely views, charming chickens and chicks running about and 3 friendly cats. We did enjoy our stay and got plenty of exercise since the property is spread out and there are many steps.

It was located close to the airport and getting around was easy. The staff were very polite especially at the dining area. My only issue was that only one bar and one dining area was open because of construction happening.

We truly enjoyed pur stay here. It is quiet and beautiful and away from all the cruiseship crazyness. Easy to get public transportation right from the resort or you can rent a moped right by the resort. All the staff was extremely helpful and very nice!!!

I need to start with the property was under renovation. And cannot be blamed for some of the noise and the inconvenience because of this. However, even if the pool area it was no one there to help with Paul or get up umbrellas and no one came down to take drink orders. The current cafeteria/restaurant really is a big enclosed room with absolutely no warmth. The food was good but as everywhere on Bermuda expensive. I think once the renovations are done, and the place is fully staffed you’ll have a great time there

This is my third time to Grotto Bay and I still love it. There’s room to roam, so many attractions nearby, great rooms and service all with a gorgeous view on your veranda. Food is good at restaurant but The Swizzle Inn is a 5 minute walk with a great menu. I highly recommend Grotto Bay. The staff is amazing!

My room had large particles of soot & debris coming out of the HVAC vent onto the countertop. I notified housekeeping and was told they came to clean it out, but it did not make much difference. Throughout my stay, I continued to wipe the counter down 2 to 3 trimes a say.
