We had stayed at Bandicoot Motor Inn for one night in their Family room as last minute decision while travelling from Adelaide to Melbourne. The check-in was easy and the room was clean. Though it was a short stay, I wanted to leave just after few hours, had an eerie feel to the place. There was a particular smell in the room as it seems it was closed for a long time and even the air condition wasn’t in the room were the main bed was. Our side of the rooms are close to the highway, though not a busy road but still noisy when any car passes.

The room was not cleaned to acceptable standards. There was visible dust, cobwebs, and even spiders in the bathroom. The towels appeared old and discolored — they were grey rather than white, which is not up to hospitality standards. The carpet was also dirty and clearly had not been cleaned properly.

Room really didn't reflect the images shown. Much smaller and extremely run down. Bathroom was pretty terrible to be honest. Mouldy, filthy dirty, paint peeling, shower had curtain only and base had no edge so it flooded room. Literally half repaired concrete with missing/broken tiling. Really unpleasant.

Reception staff (Owner) friendly and helpful. website says breakfast available, it was not. No in-house dining at all. Beds weren't made although requested just towels changed. A little too pricey for what was on offer - noisy mini friedge which woke us up very early. Bathroom extractor extremely noisy. Place looks dated and in need of an overall upgrade.
