We stayed here for one night before joining our cruise ship. Everything was great the staff were very friendly on arrival even though it was 11.30pm the apples given tasted lovely!! They even acknowledged the fact it was our anniversary.only fault was when we asked about the best way to get to the dock we got told to get the boat across. However when we got the taxi to take us he said the best way was to get a car or walk across the bridge. Rooms very big and clean would certainly stay here again.

We checked in friday 15/9 and checked out 17/9 and it was very easy and quick. Hotel room was spacious and very nice, even with a little kitchen. Overall a very modern hotel with nice rooms,a great bar and the restaurant was also good. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a hotel with very good features and staff. It is close to the harbor area (the Elbe Philharmonie, the Miniature Wonderland, harbor boat tours) a 10-15 minute walk to the Rathaus, shopping area and the Innenn Alster. There is a U-Bahn station within 5 minute walk. So its location is very good for seeing the major sites of Hamburg. Service and staff were also very good. Breakfast was included in our room and there was an excellent selection of food. Our room was spacious, more so than hotels in Europe at the same price. Plenty of space for our 2 suitcases. The bathroom was also spacious. Room decoration was new and modern. Very well done.

We booked two single rooms that were actually double rooms. All our requirements were fulfilled. The rooms were spacious, our rate included the mini bar and complimentary water and tea/coffee in the room (water kettle, coffee maker in the room). Very comfortable beds, nice duvets, very clean. Spacious bathrooms including bathrobes. Nice toiletries. We could see St. Michael's church, the rooms were very quiet. Location only about 200m from U-Bahn "Baumwall" and about 800m easy to walk to the new Elbphilharmonie. It is about a nice 15 mins walk through the Portuguese quarter to the Harbor (Landungsbrücken) where all the sightseeing boats embark. From "Landungsbrücken" walk straight up the stairs and after about 300m you are on the famous "Reeperbahn" (Beatles square, red light district, theatres). The hotel is modern built, more classic, not quaint, situated in a quiet spot. Our rate included breakfast that offered all you can think of and need. Staff at the reception as well as in the restaurants/bar and cleaning the rooms were super friendly and efficient. All in all an excellent stay, we'd stay in that hotel again in a heartbeat. :-) . PS: Some guests might miss a spa directly in the Hotel. But Madison guests can use the Spa in the Hotel next door (believe it was a "Le Meridien"). We didn't use the Spa, so we didn't miss anything. :-)

The Madison Hotel is simply one of the nicest and well-planned hotels imaginable. It is a beautiful modern hotel with great design that is also warm and welcoming. Situated very conveniently between the Elbephilharmonie and Town Hall, it is on a lazy side Street with trees and is almost next to a little park and St. Michael's. The rooms are spacious enough, have very good lighting and great windows and are immaculate! The room hallways are partly wood paneled and each room has a light outside. These touches combined with the colorful hallway carpeting make for nice warmth. We selected the business suite package and this was wonderful- our delicious breakfasts at the hotel restaurant were included as well as the minibar. Nearby the hotel we sampled dinners from the Portuguese quarter as well as German fare on another street close to The Madison. From beginning to end the staff was kind and efficient. Parking below the hotel could not have been more convenient. Our visit to Hamburg was greatly enhanced by our stay at this wonderful hotel- we almost hated to leave!

Huge room, very clean and modern, especially the bathroom. Great location within walking distance to the port and the Zentrum (city centre). Staff were lovely and friendly. I would stay here again. Parking easy straight underneath hotel.

What a fabulous location for a hotel and so close to everything. Easy walking distance to the Elbphilpharmonie and the town hall and the shops. So much space in these rooms, especially nice when sharing with someone. The tea and coffee making facilities with an Nespresso machine was very welcome, you just need to ask for milk, if you take it in your coffee. The mandarin and mint body lotion and shampoo were a lovely touch and you could purchase these items, including the rubber duck, if you wanted to take them home with you. Some lovely touches in the room, including walking into some beautiful classical music playing on arrival. The chairs in the room, were also very comfortable.

We had 2 rooms, a standard room and a 2 bedroom suite. Both were lovely. Superb value for money. The standard room had a hifi system, tv, tea & coffee and stunning views aswell as a mini balcony. Breakfast buffet was also lovely. Finally the staff were very helpful as it was our first time in Hamburg, they provided a map and explained things, then booked us a table in a restaurant. Lovely and clean hotel and very quiet. What more could you ask for! Book this hotel, I highly recommended it.

This is really a nice hotel that is ideally located to visit central Hamburg. Nice big rooms, great bath rooms and friendly staff make your stay a pleasant one. Good restaurant. We stayed for 2 nights. You can not go wrong.

This is an excellent hotel in Hamburg. I was struck by the attention to details and the feeling that both the host and the staff really cared about making your stay a nice as possible. Everything was perfect: spacious room very nicely decorated, wonderful "Rituals" amenities in bathroom (i'm a big fan). Outstanding buffet breakfast. Location is absolutely perfect, in-between the port, the old town and the shopping district, therefore walking distance from it all. Convenient garage on site. We had a "business" package which included breakfast, mini bar consumption and high speed internet... finally a hotel internet that worked well ! You can access the huge gym from the hotel (open to public), with pool, spa, cardio room, etc... as well as wide offer of fitness classes. Loved it ! would definitely stay there again.
