Good location Designhotel with hood central location in Hamburg.Close by shopping and points of intérêts Very conftable rooms - spacoius - comtable beds - clean rooms Very serviceminded staff Nice healthy breakfast
The staff is extraordinary helpful, always polite and service orientated which is not at all common in Germany. The rooms (delux, extralarge, 8th floor) are spacious, the view is great, breakfast and spa are really good.
Stayed at this hotel 2 families and booked 3 rooms, 2 standard rooms and 1 family room for the kids. The hotel i new and everything is as you would expect. The rates are high compared to the rest of Germany in our oppinion. The location of the hotel is perfect for a walk to Gänsemarkt and the harbour area. Breakfast is reasonable 12 euro per person and they have everything in the menu you would ask for. TIP: Breakfast: If you prefer a light breakfast, there are plenty of bakeries around the corner. Dinner: Try the italian restaurant “Toto & Malta” just around the corner - its excellent. Activities: A Harbour sailing Tour is a most. The Hamburg Harbour is impressing with its capacity of handling 15 million containers annually. Would I use the hotel again: Maybe, properly not - I would properly go for the Hamburg Hafen Hotel instead.
Stayed 2 nights with my family in a large family room. Very good parking for your car in the hotel basement. The breakfast is as always very nice at Scandic Hotels. The gym was small and smelled bad!!!. Friendly staff and good service.
This is a really lovely hotel. It's in a great location. Ten minute walk from the rathaus and shopping streets. The main train station is just two stops away on the u bahn. I found the staff really friendly and helpful here. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I ate here on the last day, the food was tasty. I got a hamburger, however it didn't come with any sides. The breakfast is expensive at hotel. However lovely café a stones throw away from the hotel. Great hotel, I'll be back. 😁👌
My wife and I stayed spent Christmas in Hamburg and we were so glad to have chosen to stay at the Scandic. The room was a decent size for a 4 night stay, with a huge comfortable bed, a settee and floor to ceiling windows. Breakfast was really good with a huge variety and it was a pleasure to start each day with a chat with the friendly and entertaining young staff. The location was great - we walked to the city centre and the main Christmas markets in 10-15 minutes and to the Reeperbahn in the same time. It was about 10 minutes walk to St Michael's church and the Portuguese and Italian restaurants nearby. We made use of the hotel's bikes(free for up to 4 hours) to visit Altona and the Grindel district, the Hafen City and wharehouse district. The best aspect of the visit was the fantastically friendly and genuine staff. We were offered advice about the city, given tips on German language and even introduced to some local slang. The hotel was great and it was made so by the mostly young people who work there. They were a real credit to their hotel and to their beautiful city.
Clean and modern hotel with very good facilities. The rooms are clean, quite spacious, and well equipped. The in-house restaurant offers good meals (mostly fish) for fair prices, and the breakfast should not leave any wishes unfulfilled. Staff at the reception was friendly and efficient. Good address.
I stayed at the hotel in connection with the World Cup in Women's handball and for the Christmas markets. I can safely say that this was generally a great hotel to stay at. The location was perfect, close enough to the main sights in the city for walking to and not too central that it is difficult to drive to and park at. As I travel with my partner who uses a wheelchair then I can also say that when it comes to accessibility, then (as always with a Scandic) they come out on top again. Especially at breakfast even at one of its busiest times on a Saturday were they able to quickly accomodate us and everything went smoothly. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat for anyone coming to Hamburg!
