Nice hotel .....but problem with rooms next to each other. We visited the hotel in February and had booked 3 rooms next to each other but received when We arrived 3 rooms on different floors. When we left the hotel we ordered 2 rooms again next to each other the 28. April. We received 2 twin rooms - One room on the 3rd floor and a room on the 5th floor. We are in Hamburg once a year and will find another hotel next time if We must have more than 1 room.
Booked a junior suite- one very large room with two queen beds. Very roomy. Furnishings are modern industrial, very chic. Staff was most helpful and breakfast included in out rate was quite good, including eggs and oatmeal cooked to order. WiFi was included for Marriott Rewards members, although one could buy up for faster service. Included rate was more than adequate. Short walk to Binnenalster and Rathaus. Would definitely stay there again.
Hotel was great from most of the things that they offer. It’s a clean hotel with fantastic location and very kind people. Unfortunately, there was two things that I did not like. The first main thing that there is No Free WiFi inside the rooms and when I compare the amount of money that I spent for such hotel I expect to get this cheap facility which I can see it in low level hotels nowadays. The second thing (not that much important but I need to say it) is that I reserved a bedroom for three and I got an additional portable bed for the third person, this bed is little bit small for an adult to sleep on.
Hotel looks nice and is well located but the thing that bugged me is that wifi is not free. WTF? That's complementary across the globe, folks. Also: minibar is empty -you need to go all the way back to the lobby to get some drinks and snacks. Not even a bottle of water in the room! When you're a business traveller and arrive a late night for an early morning meeting, you expect more than this from a 4* hotel.
Fantastic hotel with nice modern rooms. Staff amazingly helpful no matter what you ask for. Good location as well for getting out and about in Hamburg. Will definitely be staying again if I'm back in the city
I had a very enjoyable short stay here - just one night for a business meeting the following day. Location is really central and within close walking distance to restaurants and shops in the centre of Hamburg. staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was very clean and comfortable. Will stay here again when in Hamburg.
Stayed for four nights for work and had a great time. Fantastic central location near the town hall, lake and shops. Friendly and professional services including check in, concierge, bar, restaurant and housekeeping. In fact every staff member I came across was courteous and went out of their way to say hello. Good selection of drinks at the bar with a comfortable setting and the locals seemed to come in for drinks after work which is good sign. Food selection at the restaurant was varied and tasty. Room was a great size and gave me plenty of space to work in. Selection of pillows that were different, coupled with a comfy bed and nice lounge to seat in. Gym is up on the sixth floor with a view outside which was good to be on the running machine with. Overall good selection of weights and machines in the gym with water machine and fresh fruit. Super hotel and will back again
The hotel is great, cosy and well located. I found really good vegetarian options. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast was nice but lady at tge entrance was very slow to sit and asked to pay in advance (only later i understood i did not give a credit card while checking in, but must have been some kind of misubderstanding). Spa is the only missing facility there. Would recommend.
An absolutely enjoyable stay! I had a hu-u-u-ge room, very modern, divided into three zones - sleep, work and recreation. Excellently equipped huge bathroom with a big table - I could put out and arrange all my stuff very conveniently. The staff is very friendly, and the hotel is very centrally located with most major attractions just round the corner. I will definitely stay here again when I come to Hamburg next time.
Super hotel. Not too large, not too small. Warm, comfortable, with very friendly, helpful staff. Smack bang in the best shopping district, close to lake, and rathaus. Restaurants, bars and cafes on your doorstep. Will stay there again. 2 negative things, you have to pay for internet in room, crazy! and breakfast in hotel is extremely expensive. We went next door to the little shopping mall, Hanseviertel. Cafe Rouge provided a delicious full breakfast for half the price of the hotel.
