The hotel is nice and location is ideal. Hotel is undergoing construction on ground level. So, at this time ONLY PHYSICALLY FIT GUESTS can access the hotel reception desk to register. ALL GUESTS need to climb probably existing 20 step stair outside to reach ground reception level or use the interior10 step stair going down, then walk 50 feet to get the escalator that leads to reception area. Hotel management should have constructed temporary ramp for physically handicapped guests to gain access to hotel ground level. If this hotel is in USA, they can not get permit for construction unless a ramp is in place for people with disability to access ground level.

Train and hop on and off bus right out front. Cafes and shops nearby. Hotel staff busy but still polite and helpful! View from our room great. Only complaint is rude tourist info in hotel lobby not helpful or polite, but independent of hotel?

Great hotel with friendly, professional staff, with easy access to all of Hamburg via two train stations just outside the front door.

The staff was very helpful for all of our needs, including the need to speak English most of the time. The location is great, adjacent to two train stations. We stayed a total of 4 nights over an eight-day period, and we were able to leave our big luggage there when we took off for other places. The staff even remembered my name! The rooms were fine, bigger than some European hotels. We could have found a less expensive place to stay, but not a better one.

Dear Anonymous guest, Thank you for your in-depht review of the ouside area. As we are in German we also have to meet several EU regulations an German requirements to fullfill every security and service standard. We do have an electronic ramp to ensure every guest the stair-less entrance to the hotel. Nobody is forced to walk if they don't like to or can't do it. Our Hotel staff is trained to operate the wheelchair lift and we are happy to assist every guest who wants to enter the building. Our new entrance will make it possible to enter the hotel without taking any strais. best regards
