Park Hyatt is within few minutes of the central train station, surrounded by shopping area and lots of restaurants and coffee shops. its about 10 minutes walk from the lake. the rooms are spacious and beautiful, i like that there is a nespresso machine in the room. high quality amenities and towels. excellent breakfast buffet. plenty of choices and nice environment. from the ground floor you have to take a lift to the second floor where the reception is. i wish they had a bigger lobby.
We called Hyatt when approaching Hamburg, they said had availability. We arrived and doorman took care of the car and well greeted by reception with name. Room was very nice and big, awesome bath & shower, beds were well comfy. Asked Simon the concierge we wanted to watch F1 in a bar he made a call and arranged for us to go Irish Bar in town. Excellent service, great location, clean and high quality hotel 👍👍👍👍👍 Next day car was ready at front Only lost point in review due to at €277 per night breakfast was not included, which was not clarified by reception either when I checked in I would certainly book Hyatt again and recommend the hotel
We spent 3 nights here as a part of business/pleasure trip. Location is terrific, 30 min train ride from the airport and short walk from the main station to the hotel. Rooms are nice and large (although the room numbers are placed in a way that it is difficult to see them). Great amentities (L'Occitane, nespresso machine, even umbrella). Bed was super comfortable, had the best sleep. Really liked the breakfast, although by the morning number 3 we were able to figure out how it all works :) Selection is enormous and all tasted exceptionally well, must try the different juices and egg-dishes. The server in the 1st morning was a bit rude, but the rest of the staff has been top of the top. Beacuse of late flight we were given late check out for free - really nice. Hotel is right in the middle of main shopping district and walking distance from many sights. The place to stay in Hamburg for sure.
Excellent location situated close to everything in Hamburg centre, friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms, nice gym, sauna and 20m pool. Also, great breakfast buffet. Have been staying here for years. Hotel's condition and service is always superb
My gf and I, both highly experienced travelers, stayed at the Hamburg Park Hyatt for 3 nights recently. We absolutely loved it. The hotel is gorgeous, with lots of wood and marble. So are the rooms, which have lots of space, a super-comfortable bed, big windows and an all-marble bath. The front desk, bell and room staff all were exceptionally helpful and courteous. The main restaurant is lovely, albeit pricey, with a gourmet chef and superb food. In addition, there is a spacious parlor/reading room off the lobby where coffee and pastry are available all morning. It's a great place to read or use the computer. The main lobby is one floor above the street level. Just outside the street level front entrance, there is a small high-end shopping arcade with some very nice stores and a neat little Italian restaurant tucked in at one end (we ate two dinners there and definitely recommend it). The hotel is very conveniently located in relation to the city's major attractions. Most are within easy walking distance, and there's a U-Bahn station around the corner from the hotel if you need to go farther. For example, the Rathaus and Alsterarkaden are about 4 blocks away, and it's less than 1/2 mile to the riverfront Speicherstadt and Hafen City districts. We highly recommend the Park Hyatt Hamburg and would happily stay there again. Perhaps the only nit we could pick is that, since the lobby and Reception are one floor above street level, you have to take the elevator to get into or out of the hotel lobby, but this is only the very slightest of inconveniences. Staying at the Park Hyatt Hamburg is a genuine pleasure!
First class hotel in every way. Comfortably spacious rooms, beautifully appointed. Quiet. Well lit. Terrific bathroom and shower/bath. Abundant hot water. Excellent towels. Food in the hotel restaurant was consistently superb, whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The most outstanding aspect of the hotel was the service. One day, I was looking at the dessert selection after lunch. I asked one of the chef's, who was readily available behind the counter, about the ingredients, especially milk and cream. She asked if I was lactose intolerant. When I said that I was, she offered to make me a dessert. She then put together a dish of sorbet (two different flavors) and fresh fruit. Wonderful. The next day, I was again examining the dessert selection. The same chef came up to me and told me they had prepared a special dessert just for me. With that, she produced a pudding and fruit cup from a drawer. The pudding was made without milk. Not only had they done this without my asking, but they also kept an eye out for me in order to give it to me. Now that's what I call service! ALL the service, throughout the hotel, was at this level, including during our business meetings. Every lunch, every dinner, every meeting break was staffed by people who could not wait to help. The hotel location is very good. It is very convenient to the main train station and the metro. There are many restaurants and stores nearby. A great deal of the city is within walking distance. The only caution is that there are a notable number of homeless living near to the train station. One recommendation: Go to Miniatur Wonderland. It is insanely wonderful, and a joy to see. We were able to book a harbor tour that included after hours access to the Miniatur Wonderland museum. It was still crowded, but apparently less so than during regular hours.
Very well located in a quiet street. The back passage leads out to the main pedestrianized shopping area, walking distance to the city hall, the railway station and the inner lake. Nice traditional feel with large rooms, broad corridors, lots of wood, no chrome and even a morning newspaper outside the door. Polite staff.
The hotel location is perfect! The staff was very willing to help with any need. Lorenz was awesome along with Simon the concierge and everyone else. Rooms were large and well appointed. I've stayed at many hotels around the world but have not found a better staff or service than at the Park Hyatt Hamburg!
Good location, staff seem attentive enough but seem somewhat distracted with the G20 almost here. Requests for assistance (twice) have had no effect which is disappointing. I will keep this in mind the next time I come to Hamburg. It is the little things that matter.
On a return business trip to Hamburg in June 2017, I stayed at the Park Hyatt Hotel again and as was the case when I visited in 2015 the Park Hyatt Hamburg didn't disappoint. The Park Hyatt is located near a very upscale shopping area, a few blocks away from the Hamburg Rathaus in one direction and a few blocks from the train station in the other. It's a very easy walk from some of the historic sights in Hamburg that survived the allied bombing in WWII. The hotel itself is nicely appointed and maintained and has large, comfortable rooms. The bathroom is large and has without question the best shower/bath in any hotel I have every stayed in. The restaurant has a fantastic breakfast buffet featuring among other things fresh German baked goods, abundant fruit, meats and cheeses and an omelette station. The staff of the Park Hyatt Hamburg is unfailingly polite and helpful to ensure a pleasant stay. I hope I am able to return to Hamburg again and if I do, I won't consider any other hotel. The Park Hyatt Hamburg has won my loyalty.
