the hotel is very bad, rooms are very small like a can, smell very bad the worst ever, bathroom looks like public toilets. and most worst that no AC in rooms. I advise no one to book this hotel. they also published photos on booking that completely different than real rooms they have.
I've seen reviews stating that people have paid as little at €40 a night. If you can get a room for that price, great, you'll be pleased with what you get for your money. However, I paid €80 a night and wished I'd paid a little more for a more modern hotel. I didn't feel great about the system of leaving keys on display at the lobby, so it's quite clear for anyone who wants to know whether you're in your room or not. Some members of staff are lovely, others not so (at one point I was shouted at for sitting in a breakfast area which was apparently closed, but had no signs indicating so). The location of the hotel is great for accessing the central station, personally I would choose a more central location for tourism if that's the nature of your visit. Rooms are a little tatty in places, mine had a none functioning plug socket and exposed wires in the headboard.
This hotel is located very near the train station so is a good place to stay for getting around Hamburg on public transport and there are lots of restaurants near in the somewhat seedy neighborhood. Services are basic to what one expects in a good midrange hotel in Germany. Room was clean, breakfast good, 24 hr. service desk. Cons are that street noise can be very irritating, even with double glazed windows. On the corner near the hotel a large number of very noisy people congregate. There is no air conditioning and on the day we stayed we had to open the window to feel cool enough, and this exacerbated the problem. Their normal pricing is a bit high for what you get, but we were able to get a rate cheaper from the normal.
Eleazar Hotel is easy to find, and so close to most highlights of Hamburg. Within walking distance of Main Railway Station and inner city shopping Best price for a quality room. Quiet , facing away from traffic.
Our vacation started out like a Chevy Chase movie, the wheel on our campervan flew of in the middle of the highway (busted ball bearing), hit the windshield of an ongoing car, and left us stranded, sparks and flames flying on the shoulder of a German motorway, sparks. Thank His Noodly Appendage that nobody got hurt and that this happened in Germany and not in Italy or France (our destination) . Long story short, we got rescued and towed to a garage who would do everything in their power to get us on the road again, as fast as possible. So we booked 3 nights, last minute, through booking.com. Booking.com managed to messed up our reservation, but the helpful and friendly staff got everything sorted :) Nice, clean and comfortable room, complimentary sparkling wine and breakfast included. 4min walk from the central station, plenty of everything right by the hotel. TLDR; Very kind and helpful staff, clean, comfortable beds, breakfast included and central location.
Few dodgy pubs on same street but only 100 metres from a Main Street with loads of pubs/restaurants, and more importantly only 100 metres from main train station. Clean cosy hotel, standard breakfast, but that's you get for these prices!
Eleazar is a hotel recommended for a short business trip in Hamburg. It is a small hotel nearby the Main Trainstation. The district is rather bad - a lot of prostitutes around. Nevertheless it is well situated to get anywhere within Hamburg. Breakfasts were decent but would appretiate more hot food (only scrammbled eggs available).
Nice small hotel close to the trainstation. It was clean but some need of renovation. Beds was a little too firm for my taste. Breakfast was ok and it was quiet as we had a room towards the back yard. Parking is possible next to the hotel if you have a big car.
Had read mixed reviews about this hotel before I booked it. I was very impressed. The room altho small was spotless. Breakfast was included which was continental and there was plenty of everything. Location is great across the road from the main train station and within walking distance of the main shopping area. The area around the hotel is a bit scruffy and run down but that's not the hotels fault. I couldn't fault the hotel in any way and I would stay here again
The hotel is in a great location - only a few minutes walk to the main train station. The beds were comfortable but the rooms were small (however, very clean). The breakfast was quite good. A continental breakfast and scrambled eggs were served.
