The rooms were clean and very pleasant. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room doors were crap and didn't open, room security was great. If it wasn't for the fact that the room cards consistently failed to open any of our parties four rooms and we all had to make several trips back down to reception, to one very harassed night porter, this stay would have perfect.
Hotel is ok, nothing special, we were in double room...the room is not too big but enough for 2 persons. However, bathroom is far too small...think they could not have it done smaller! :) The only thing I really liked in the room was the mattress...for us was quite good sleep! Internet is working everywhere in hotel, we had no issues, but it's slow. In short, good things would be: hotel staff, breakfast, hotel location and beds.
tiny rooms, no air conditioning, very oppressing décor, incredibly tiny bathrooms with very bad lighting. I could not put on mu makeup because the lighting was so poor. Breakfast was good but pricey..
We stayed in this hotel only because our friends have booked it. For almost the same price you can have better hotel and closer to downtown. Standard double rooms are tiny as well as the bathrooms. It is quite impossible for adult person to fit into the shower. They even have the rooms without air conditioning. Breakfast was good.
Nice hotel with clean rooms. There was no air conditioning and we were there in the summer so our first night was not comfortable. However, we asked for a fan from the front desk and the staff immediately provided one for us, and that made a big difference. The rooms are nice and clean and the location is convenient to public transit which is excellent in Hamburg.
Great Location near restaurants, cafees and public transportation. Great beds ( we had kingsize bed)and breakfast. The Park "planten und blumen" is near by and is a must see, especially in the summer time.
This hotel suited me because I was looking for a hotel in Elmsbuettel. Nothing special to mention. Single rooms are very small and the bathroom is minisicule. Could hear the TV from next door in my room. Breakfast was average no special mention. Have stayed in a 4 star hotel by Hamburg Station which was so much better in relation to single rooms and breakfast so would not choose to stay here again unless it was necessary
Receptionist who checked us in was very friendly and couldn't of been any nicer or made us feel more at home . I think she is a credit to herself and to yourselves for having her on your pay roll. Thanks you.
A suprisingly run-down hotel that is badly in need of a renovations. Small dark rooms, very low ceilings, dilapitated furniture, and tiny bathrooms too small to turn around in. The entire hotel reaks of excessive air-freshener, but the seven-lane street just outside too loud to sleep with open windows. Internet is patchy and very slow. Staff is friendly but the hotel is understaffed. The only redeeming qualities are the hotel's central location, and decent beds. But overall this is a hotel to avoid - particularly given the almost absurd prices they charge during special events.
Very nice comfortable central hotel. Great location with a very nice swimming complex over the street and lots of nice places to eat close by. Only issue is when travelling on business the NHS chain seem to mess up the Hamburg tax free status - after supplying a document I seem to have an issue almost every week at checkout with tourist tax being applied to my bill.1
