Had a great three-night weekend stay in this hotel. Room was comfortable with industrial design inspired closets and minibar. The bathroom should have a longer cover to avoid water from coming out to the main floor. Other than that, the breakfast was great value! And we attended a friend’s wedding in their floating event space. Its one of the most beautiful places for weddings. We did had many laughs when the firealarm rang because of the live cooking station. The German Polizei and Firemen came over and were very friendly & entertaining. Overall, its was a very pleasant stay in the hotel. They also had the yummiest wedding cake we’ve tried! Amazing.

The hotel was pretty standard, kind of industrial feeling. Not far from public transportation, decent restaurant although the service could be improved. Front desk staff were pleasant and the room was comfortable enough.

Hotel clean and very mod. Staff also pleasant but seemed inexperienced in giving directions to local requests (ie. bank, etc) to visitors. NO a/c and NO way to adjust the thermostat. It was as if it were “locked”. No a/c in dining area either. For travelers who are used to paying these prices and the need to be comfortable with warm, humid temps, would not rebook.

Atmosphere is great! View of the river is a good plus. We were here for the rotary convention and it’s well located near the train station. fabulous friendly staff. The rooms are very cute and colorful. English tv station and coffee machine in room. Parking on site. WiFi. 25 mps!!! Wheelchair access. 20 mins from airport in taxi is €25 and €6 on underground for 2 people. The food is extremely healthy and delicious! Very excellent and not greasy at all. Fine portions! It has everything you need. I like the free apples!

The hotel was a fairly standard Mercure. Clean, modern etc. A quad room had a better than usual standard sofa bed. Nice quirky design both in the lobby and rooms, although the wardrobe doors were a bit annoying after the initial impression abated. OK location - a little out the centre but only 5 minutes to the S-Bahn that allowed easy access to the main sites.

Because of my profession I must to note that the rooms have an exciting design, but unfortunately the common rooms are completely lack of charm. Spritzputz plaster on the walls, OMG! And i think it is a shame to take money for coffee, tea and water. Overall the location is not bad, and if you have concert in Mehr! Theater, this is a place to stay overnight. The service team is nice, too.

We were four adults and two children visiting Miniature Wonderland and the hotel was suitable in all ways. We had one double room and one very good family rooms for two adults and two children. Both rooms were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient.

The main problem was that the air con could not really be switched off. Even when turned off the fan was still constantly blowing cold air into the room. The other issues were small but still unpleasant. They for example told me that breakfast was included in my rate but then still charged me EUR 20 for it. This has never happened at any other hotel. The mattress was good and I got good sleep but the bed was squeaking with every move. The wardrobes have ship container type doors which some may find amusing but it makes a lot of noise when using and at night I could hear other guests opening and closing them. I just used earplugs at night. I think this hotel should have earplugs in their rooms to combat the noise from the squeaky beds and other guests opening and shutting their containers at night. There was also an outdated room service Menu in the room. When I ordered food the kitchen had a different menu. However, the food arrived and was good. The hotel was a cold and boring 10 min walk to Hammerbrook station wich had good connections. The bathroom / toilet was small and cramped. I will book somewhere else next time as found the hotel to be overpriced for the location and what you get with a lack of charm. On the positive side all the important stuff was good. The internet was fast to connect and had a good speed. The food was good. The mattress also good. Most of the staff were friendly/useful.

We always stay at this hotel in Hamburg. Normally I give a 5 star review---this time it was still a good hotel, but there were enough issue that I debated betwee awarding 3 or 4 stars. The hotel is right on the edge of what I would call the city center--meaning you avoid driving in the worst of the traffic but are still only a 20 minute walk to St Michael's, Hafen City, the train station, etc. The nearest U bahn stop is about a 7-8 minute walk away, bus stop 3 or 4 minutes away. The parking garage is easy to get in and out of and well lit. Reception staff are friendly. The hotel does handle a lot of tourist busses, if you happen to hit the lobby when one is coming or going, there can be some crowding and waiting for check in or elevators. Speaking of elevators---the two elevators are extremely slow. They need some sort of updating. I like the layout of the rooms. Small, but well set up and very versitile. I especially like the desk, which rolls to move easily and is set up to be able to go over the bed if you want to work from there. I also enjoy that the rooms have some themeing to match the city itself--giving it a sense of place. We had a privelege room with the mimibar included (no charge to eat/drink from the minibar). In the minibar fridge was: .75 liter of still water, .75 liter of bubbly water, two .33 Astra beers, a .2 Fritz Cola and a .2 Fritz Orange Soda. Snacks were a single serving sized bag of sour cream and chive potato chips, a 4 pack of Oreos and a bag of Haribo gummi bears. We did check with the front desk (because prices were in the room and posted on the water bottles and we wanted to confirm that we were not going to be charged extra, given that we had paid for included mini bar, and were assured it was included and that whatever we consumed would be refilled daily. There was also a pod style coffee maker and pods of espresso, coffee, tea, etc. wifi is strong and the TV has plenty of good channels. So the glitches we encountered this week? All minor, but they add up: *4 out of 5 days at least one of the two of us got back to the room only to find our keycard no longer worked. Both of us were very careful with the cards after both cards failed to work within an hour the first night, it didn't matter. The cards just did not seem to be consistent in holding whatever data they need. So we had a lot of trekking back down to reception, and waiting in line for our keys to be redone (we were not arriving back at the same time to just use the other key) *the first night we drank a beer and the cola, most of one water and ate the snacks. When we got back to the hotel the next evening the snacks had been replenished, but not the drinks. We refilled the water from the tap (I have no issue with tap water---I just like it cold) and stopped by the front desk on our way out for dinner to ask that at least the Cola be restocked. After first telling us we would not like the Cola since it is not "real cola" and being assured that we do in fact like the Fritz Cola, the manager said she'd take some up---she actually left us two bottles :) The remaining 3 days everything was restocked as it should be. *my husband status with the accor chain and usually has a welcome letter and small (edible) arrival gift. Niether were there this time. We had the mini bar snacks that we had paid for in the room rate---maybe they figure if you have those you do not also deserve the welcome? Our prior stays at this locatin we have not booked a room with the minibar included `*My husband was driving in and out to work daily. He paid for parking and was told he had in and out on his card after check in. The card did not work on the next morning and he had to get a new one---which did work the rest of the week. His room key never worked to open the door from the parking garage into the building, he had to buzz in every time, often waiting a few minutes and juggling items he was holding to try to get the door open in the very short amount of time it would be buzzed to let him through. *And finally, the night before we checked out I got back to the room and saw that housekeeping had only left us one bathtowel. It was a minor mistake and should not have been a big deal. Stopping by the front desk we were offered a bathrobe (already had one in the room). explained that no, we had a robe, but would like a towel to dry off with after our showers in the morning. She told us that housekeeping was gone for the day and she could not get us a towel (but she did find a hand towel). I cannot fathom that a hotel on the level of a Mercure cannot manage to get a guest a towel that was forgotten at any time! I mean, it was no hardship really to dry off as best I could with hand towel and then sit in a robe for a bit to finish drying, but, it was just odd. Overall still a good place and given that our prior trips there have all been excellent we will be back, but we are hoping these glitches were a one time anomoly and not a glimpse of the future.

Very friendly service at the reception. Love the wonderful smell at the reception area. Breakfast was good though it’ll be better if the pancake maker Can be programmed to make 2 instead of 1. It was a family room We booked and so thankful that we had a reasonable mattress for the sofa bed. Bathroom is a bit cramped though and the minibar fridge is such a hassle to close. Short walking distance to the bus stop to get to the central station. Will definitely come back to this family-friendly hotel again.
