The hotel was welcoming with very friendly staff who gave us may tips on where to go, what to do and the best areas to go to eat. Restaurants and cafes were all within easy walking distance. The rooms were specious and elegant and the bathrooms very stylish. We really enjoyed staying here.

The hotel is clean and the rooms are okay. When you check in you receive a voucher for a free coffee at the bar downstairs, however the lady working there didn't get it (due to her low-level German) that I want to use the voucher and wanted me to pay for the coffee and just get another one afterwards with the voucher. In the end she accepted the voucher but still this should not happen at a 5-star hotel.

Perfect SPA Area, clean and big rooms. The beds were not perfect (the mattresses) but still ok and comfortable for sleeping. The bar at the top floor is very very nice, perfect view and very good cocktails. Personal nice and helpful.

Every staff is friendly, especially Concierge. Be sure to choose a river view room, no matter which season it is beautiful. Breakfast is very delicious. If I can, I want stay few day to enjoy my trip.

The last time I stayed in a Le Meridien hotel was a long time ago, and I had an idea of a dated brand of SPG. This hotel is the opposite of that. The hotel is located in walking distance of the main city attractions, restaurants and local shops. The lobby is nice but average. The room is huge for European standards, with beautiful decor, comfy beds and great amenities. The staff is super nice and professional. The only downside is the cost of the parking (29€/day). Nice experience overall.

The room was clean and spacious and modern. The view from the room over the lake was something nice to wake up to. The check in/out was smooth and professional yet friendly staff and enjoyed my stay here. Location was walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

Stayed at the Hamburg Le Meridian for 1st time and was nicely impressed. Check in staff (Claudia) was very professional & courteous. Room was updated and tasteful. Great central location w lake view, walking distance to shopping and excellent restaurants. Heritage restaurant and bar in hotel has beautiful views.

Awesome bedrooms, beautiful views across the lake and an exciting restaurant on the top floor. Makes the Meridien in Monaco look very weak by comparison. Central Station is only 10 minutes walk and the airport is a 22 minute cab ride. Shots below show some of the lunchtime treats - and a view across the misty lake. Hamburg is a beautiful city and this is a beautiful hotel.

The location was good, the room was quirky and of a decent size but did not feel luxurious like it probably should do for the cost of accommodation. The pool area was very nice and wasn't over crowded. The Food which i ordered on too service was prompt, tasty and reasonably priced. Overall it is a nice hotel but nothing would make me return other than convenience and practicality.

The hotel is nice, but I don't find it living up to the 5-stars, I think 4-stars would be more fitting, based on my visits to other 4-stars hotels. The hotel is more impressive than what it shows on most pictures, the room we had was spacious and had a good bed. The phone-service was great they were really fast to deliver orders. The Spa was great with a pool and bobble bath. The area was fine and in walk distance to the shopping area. Why I don't think it lives up to the 5-stars: Room-service, was not as expected, they took things from our the table which we dot not expect, such as my girlfriend's Chanel Ribbon for her Chanel bag. And then there were things they did not take, like empty coca-cola bottles? The toilet was very bad, it almost couldn't flush, we reported this problem in the reception, but they did not fix it for us over the course of 2 days. Their restaurant was very bad, it was really hard to book a time, probably due to capacity issues with customer demand, but we got a table at 21:00 o'clock on our last night, but the experience was horrible, as their were black pepper in our dessert. When I goto a 5-star hotel I expect everything to be perfect, but they took/stole a Chanel Ribbon, the toilet didn't work, and getting to eat in their restaurant seemed very difficult.
