Best hotel in Europe

After a crazy night out we were woken up by one of the staff members knocking our door and offering us water, unquestionably due to the fact that we were piss-drunk when we arrived a couple of hours earlier. In addition to taking good care of two hungover lads, they let us sleep way past the actual checkout time. Overall: Great service.

The Junges hotel was excellent for a business workshop. The staff were very supportive and flexible. Price was affordable. Room was modest with cool windows overlooking a sports area letting in natural light and a lively feeling. Sleeping accommodation were simple and clean. The meal in the restaurant was very good. People were incredibly helpful. If I were to make an improvement that would encourage me to stay more nights, it would be a higher quality mattress and linens for comfort and soundproofing for noise from the street at night. Overall excellent value.

I’ll come back here again!

My wife and I really enjoyed staying there. Everything was just fine, the hotel is located near to central station therefore you don’t need worrying about something. Besides, our room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel seems to be a five star hotel and I just wonder why there was no fridge inside the room.

Great service and staff!

Great stay! Great staff! Nice bar. The receptionist even helped us play a prank on my husband!! Immediate kudos!! Comfy business lounge and easy use computer station. Garage is small and limited. Next to a school. Easy walk to subway.

Fresh and Clean, No I-net in the room, no AirCon

The hotel and the room are fresh and very clean, which is great! Unfortunately, there is no WiFi access in the room (at least the one I had) and this in the 21st century.... A very unpleasant surprise if you are on a business trip. The room also didn't have a mini fridge despite the allocated cabinet..... Yet another peculiarity.. Also no air-conditioning, which can be a problem in Hamburg in the summer when the days are hot and humid. Finally, the stuff at the desk wasn't very indifferent - neither friendly, nor unfriendly, they seemed like they don't care. I complaint about the WiFI, the reaction was "ah, that is surprising, we will check it" but nothing changed for the rest 4 days.... To top it all the cleaning personal was also quite annoying. On my rest day, they nocked on my door 10 times (well clearly there is someone in, if you cannot unlock the room). They were gone the moment I got to the door. There wasn't a do not disturb sign in the room.... So overall, this could be a quite reasonable hotel to stay at if they would fix their WiFi and get the personal to be more guest accommodating.

Ideal for short business tril

Ideal hotel for short business trip. Clean, comfortable and a nice restaurant in house which is perfect if you are arriving a little late. Close to the main station in Hamburg.

Would stay there again.

Service was good. Staff was very nice and the hotel is very well located. Very short walk to the center. The room looked quite well, although the curtains were really dirty. Really. We had to park in a garage 200 meters away but it worked perfectly well.

Basic hotel

Stayed here for one night, arrived late and didn't have breakfast, so not much to say other than that the room was clean, the bathroom worked fine (shower cabin very cramped, though) and a bottle of mineral water was provided for free. Enough space in the room and wifi worked well. Would consider staying here again.

It was ok. The staff was not very helpful. They gave us a discount card for the restaurant, etc. The restaurant forgot to apply the discount and then the hotel management said there was nothing they could do to correct it? We asked how to exit the garage and were told to simply drive out. The gate would not open. We went back and asked the exact same staff member why the garage door wouldn't open and she then said that one has to pull a cord. Why didn't she tell us that the first time we asked? The area around the hotel is ok but I would not be comfortable walking from the train station at night. It is only 3 stops from the center through which was nice. Overall, did not think it was worth the money.

Good Experience

Ein wunderschönes Hotel im Hamburger Stadtteil St. Gallen, fußläufig zur U-Bahn und zum Hauptbahnhof. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist den Sternen nach angemessen, nur Unfreunde der SPD werden den Ausblick auf die Hamburger SPD Zentrale nicht genießen. Das Hauseigene Frühstück ist preislich in Ordnung, lediglich die Auswahl der Cerealien könnte etwas besser sein. Die sich im Haus befindliche Bar ist sehr zu empfehlen, die Cocktailpreise von 7-12 EUR sind der gebotenen Qualität vollkommen angemessen. Ein starker Abzug ist die sich im Haus befindliche Tiefgarage, welche durch einen schmalen Eingang und Enge Parkflächen nicht punkten kann. Besitzer eines SUV oder Kombis sind hier unter Umständen gut beraten die 200 Meter entfernten Parkflächen im Realcenter zu nutzen, welche preislich keinen wesentlichen Unterschied zum Hotel ausmachen.
