When we arrived we were bit surprised by the amount of foreign shops n people standing n discussing on the sidewalks...some neon withsex ads etc gave a wrong 1st impression!!! We missed the hotel as the sign was lost between the kebab shops BUT once arrived at the hotel ; great reception, very nice room, very clean and you then realize - great location great value for money!!
The location is super. Close to rhe central station, trains and buses, restaurants and shopping. Clean and comfortable rooms, the breakfast was satisfying and enough and the staff was very friendly. Well worth the money.
We stayed here for 1 night to be close to the train station. The hotel is in an excellent location if you want to be close to train station. There are some unavoidable stairs as the lift only stops between floors. The rooms were clean and our family of four were comfortable for the night. The doors to the rooms are quite thin and we could hear our neighbours coming in and out but luckily that wasn't too often. All in all a clean and very convenient place to stay in Hamburg.
Clean, quiet budget hotel. Very convenient location - short walking distance from the Central Station. Breakfast was basic, but still with a good choice of foods covering most demands. The receptionists were very kind and helpful. Don't be discouraged by the neighbourhood which is not particularly attractive and may ruin your first impression about the city because the hotel is located on "the wrong side from the Central Station".
The hotel is very close to the train station and is very busy area. When you arrive your first thought is it's going to be noisy, however when you go through the entrance all becomes very quiet. It's very clean and staff are super helpful the night receptionist ran up and down the hotel looking for a fan to help cool my son down as he was too hot to sleep. All the staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was nice, the food was constantly replaced and area was very clean. Would use again anytime I go back to Germany.
Have stayed in this area before so knew it was a little cosmopolitan in nature. Its really convenient if you arrive at the main station but was propositioned twice round the corner on a Sunday morning stroll.Maybe not the best for a young family but if you have been round the block a few times like me and accompanying friends no problem here. Its a typical 3 star German hotel-very clean, good breakfast, reasonable value for a twin or double room(though not for a single) and a lift claustrophobic types might wish to avoid.
Chose this hotel for its location for our mini break in a new city. No exaggeration to say nearest entrance to station 250m away. Simple hotel but very friendly and helpful staff. Location is a buzzing multicultural area which might put some off but we had no problems (family group). Would return for a cheap break.
The is a very clean, small, simple hotel about a 5 minute walking distance from the airport. The service was so helpful- especially Hamid. He went above and beyond to answer any questions and to help!
I arrived at the hotel after a long journey from the UK and an hour long search to find the hotel to be told that there was something wrong with the hotels water supply and I would be staying at the Terminus but would be staying at it's sister hotel, The Lumen a hundred meters down the street. So off down the street I go to find The Lumen, getting accosted by jobless middle eastern youths and half a dozen prostitutes before finding a single doorway leading to 39 stairs (yes I counted them) to reach the reception. Booking in was actually easy. The hotel layout is a strange one. `there are 39 steps coming up from the street to a lift landing, then another flight of steps to the next floor. The lift only goes to half floors so that when you alight you have to either go up or down a flight of stairs to reach your floor. The room was old but reasonably clean but reached of stale cigarette smoke. The radiator worked well and there was plenty of hot water. The window curtains were not the blackout type so the room was lit up like daylight due to the street lighting outside. I checked out the breakfast room the first morning to find some scrambled eggs in a warmer and a range of cold meats and salad. Not my idea of breakfast so I gave it a miss. Hotel is a short distance from the railway station and close to many shops and restaurants.
The hotel es very nice and at a good price. Clean rooms. Although the bathroom and toilets are shared they were clean. breakfast was great. The hotels offers everything you need for a nice stay. Very close to the station, close to the center- walking distance
