Hotel Terminus3.0 out of 5.0

Just one overnight stay. Situated just in the city center - only a 2 min walk to the railwaystation. Clean and spacious rooms. Very friendly staff. Private parking available at a 12 euro cost a day. And you can even pay for additional days even though you have checked out of the hotel. However the neighborhood is a bit spooky (maybe because we arrived late night), but for a cheap and good over night stay its very good value for money.
This is an odd little hotel in a very convenient location. My room was a tiny single, old fashioned and needing refurbishment. That said, I found it clean and quite comfortable and the renovated bathroom functional, though small. The man at reception was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good value and the wifi signal strong. One of the odd things about the hotel is that each of the elevator landings are shared by two floors, so you always have half a flight of steep stairs to negotiate. The local area is colourful and busy, but not dangerous. I would choose to stay there again.
The hotel is pleasant, in a good position wherever you are, only a few meters from public transport and a 5 minute walk to the city center. Staff is very helpfull and frendly, room is very clean, quite, cozy....
Although the room we stayed in was small it was amazing...it was easy to find and only less than a 5 minute walk from the main train station and only about 3 minute walk to the bus station...Bathroom was clean and a good size..no noise from inside or outside.. an elevator is available if needed..Staff at reception always friendly and helpful..5 minute walk to a grocery store if required...a wide selection of Turkish food right outside your door..Lidls just down the road if needed..we stayed 4 nights ..wifi very good..bed comfortable and no problems walking on the street..
I stayed in a single room with own bathroom for 4 nights last week. Location is very close to the main train station and the access to the underground line U1 is right across the street. Staff is very friendly. The bathroom, although small, is well set up and fairly new. If you’re into Döner or Falafel or groceries from Turkish supermarkets, there’s a wide variety of possibilities right in the street where the hotel is situated. Although there is a (very narrow) elevator, you always have to go at least one flight of stairs as it stops in between floors. The night lamp at my bed had had better times. The switch was broken and was repaired with duct tape. Although it did work, I decided I’d rather not use it in fear of electric shock. I personally don’t mind the area where the hotel is located at all. But for people who don’t feel comfortable in areas where 95% of the population has a migration background or is in any adult business, the hotel is definitely in the wrong place.
This is very conveniently located 1 minute due east of the train station. The rooms are small, but clean, and the wi-fi is good. The immediate area around the hotel is slightly dodgy, with the usual types that hang around train stations at night. Drug dealers, prostitutes, and lots of homeless people. If you ignore them you'll be fine.
Knowing that I would be arriving on a late flight into Hamburg with my young son. I needed a hotel that was convenient and easy to find. This hotel is literally 2 minutes walk from the Hauptbanhof (central train station). It was east to find at night but being honest it may be a bit harder during the day, because the neighbouring shops awnings actually obscure the hotels entrance canopy. Anyway the gentleman on reception was warm, friendly and helpful throughout our stay ...I’m sure he works there 24/7, he always seemed to be there, no matter what time. The room was adequate for our needs, bathroom was also decent and serviced every day. Breakfast was nothing special but again adequate for my needs. The hotel couldn’t cater for my sons dairy allergy but were happy to store groceries for him that I purchased. Throughout, the hotel was clean. Entrance is via a security door from the street and then by either lift or stairs up to reception. The rooms are are in the floors above again. Hauptbanhof Sud metro station is no more than 10 seconds walk from the hotel, well maybe 15 or thereabouts, and is handy for the yellow line (U3) which takes you to Miniatur Wunderland in about 4 stops.
When we arrived we were bit surprised by the amount of foreign shops n people standing n discussing on the sidewalks...some neon withsex ads etc gave a wrong 1st impression!!! We missed the hotel as the sign was lost between the kebab shops BUT once arrived at the hotel ; great reception, very nice room, very clean and you then realize - great location great value for money!!
The location is super. Close to rhe central station, trains and buses, restaurants and shopping. Clean and comfortable rooms, the breakfast was satisfying and enough and the staff was very friendly. Well worth the money.
We stayed here for 1 night to be close to the train station. The hotel is in an excellent location if you want to be close to train station. There are some unavoidable stairs as the lift only stops between floors. The rooms were clean and our family of four were comfortable for the night. The doors to the rooms are quite thin and we could hear our neighbours coming in and out but luckily that wasn't too often. All in all a clean and very convenient place to stay in Hamburg.
