Its my secomd time at this hotel amqzing service and nice breakfast and the cool part is if reception is closed you get a code for your room key so you can cheack in automatically.

I can't believe this hotel costs $200/night

I think it is unconscionable that Hotels.com does not mention that the rooms don't have bathrooms in big bold letters. I also don't understand how this hotel has 3 stars. It is nothing more than a youth hostel with private rooms. The beds were narrow and uncomfortable - essentially two day beds and to say the room was minimalist is exaggerating. I had a rotten night because there were people sitting outside and talking into the night.

Good hotel with breakfast. Parking is easy and available. If hotel parking is full, there is plenty space in road. Not all rooms have both room included. Some have shared which I avoid.

Great stay

Our stay at Hotel Richter was excellent. Super nice staff, welcoming and very clean room. it was very good value for money, and came with a free breakfast too. We didn't expect anything like this. We only stayed a night as we were hopping back to the UK, but it can surely be our choice again if we intend to come for a longer trip in Hamburg.

While images on expedia often differ to actual rooms, one thing that was not made clear at any point was the lack of in-room shower. There was not even a sink in the room, and the "free mineral water" was only replaced once during our 5 night stay - in fact the empty bottle was even removed from the bin and put back onto the table. Our bedding was not changed during our stay, and our towels were not changed on the last evening either. So essentially, the service seemed to get gradually worse. While I would not necessarily mind having shared shower facilities, I think the hotel should be very honest about this - it was being misled that I felt annoyed about. I've never previously stayed at a hotel with this arrangement, so it's a reasonable assumption that there will be a shower in the room. If I were booking a hostel, sure, I might think to check the arrangements for the washing facilities. This "hotel" is definitely set up much more like a hostel. Especially with the thin walls and ceilings.
