I recently spent my holiday at a hotel near Berliner Tor in Hamburg, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The location is one of the biggest advantages — just a short walk from the U-Bahn station, making it incredibly easy to reach the city center, the harbor, and other major attractions. Despite being well-connected, the area itself felt calm and safe. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely designed, with all the essentials provided. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax after long days of sightseeing. The Wi-Fi worked reliably, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff at reception were helpful with directions and recommendations, and check-in/check-out went smoothly. Overall, I’d happily recommend staying near Berliner Tor in Hamburg for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and good value. I’d gladly stay again on my next trip to the city.

The hotel itself is fairly standard, decent rooms and clean, however, the bathroom constantly had an odor of raw sewage coming through the drains, the staff were not so friendly nor helpful. We came in at checkin time and were told we had to wait to check in until all the people arriving on a tour us were checked in, yet none of the people had disembarked the bus that had just pulled up to the front. The location is very drab. There is a lot of roadworks in the area, making it difficult to get to from the train stop, and there is nothing in the area in terms of restaurants or shops. Not even a supermarket or kiosk. We will not stay here again, better to pay more and be more central

Not worth the money

There was no air conditioning in the room. There was lots of street noise and we were on the 6th floor. There were no washcloths. Street parking was always available. Smokers always were outside at the entrance so I always smelled like cigarettes. The bed was two twins with a flimsy mattress topper that slid off the bed each night. I was promised a queen sized bed. The kitchen was undergoing renovations so all you could eat was pizza.

The hotel was nice, in an excellent condition. The cleaning staff seems to be somewhat rude, as we found our items thrown around the bathroom after their visit; they also seem to have shake our suitcases while moving them around, as their content was not in the order we left it. The area around Berliner Tor station was turned into a massive construction ground, which made the access to the hotel very inconvenient.

Good clean standard hotel

Good clean standard hotel In the business district so not a lot around the hotel. 5 min walk to Berliner Tor station which has direct metro trains to most tourist areas If you do stay, the short cut through the park to the station is much more convenient than the route shown on google maps

Modern and fresh hotel

Booked this hotel being close to Berliner Tor and the S-Bahn. About 7-8 minute walk from the S-Bahn, I really enjoyed staying here. Modern and fresh, they did a great breakfast and the hotel was very quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Pretty good hotel and dining. Clean room and comfortable beds. Air conditioning was not working for some reason, so room was pretty cold. And bathroom washbasin was clogged and water out flow was slow. Except these issues everything was good. Highly recommended.
