Comfortable room- stay was very comfortable and very clean bathroom and towels. The hotel is also very well located and therefore make it easy to access restaurants and other strategic places. The concierge on departure was a little slower with the luggage!
One of our greatest pleasures is to try out luxury hotels and believe us..this is one of the best in Hamburg. You can't go wrong by staying at the Vier Jahreszeiten.. Here you will definitely get everything you expect from a 'higher priced hotel'.. Reward yourself and make your stay in Hamburg unforgettable
very good location near by shopping street and shopping mall opposite to Hamburg lack the size of room is good not very far from the airport, the staff is friendly and will not take long time for check out and in
One of our best ever hotel stays as a family. True hospitality and professional in every aspect. Big thank you to the staff from the bell boys to the hotel management. Always attentive, no request too crazy. Love the Nikei Nine restaurant. This hotel offers great value for money.
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. A truly luxurious yet unpretentious hotel, marrying old charm luxury with all the necessities of today's world. The lobby is superbly decorated: The Christmas tree, the deers, the Santas - everything was stunning. The suite we had (202) had a super view over the lake - great view to wake up to in the morning. The room is very well appointed: a spacious walk-in closet, a very comfy TV room and a super king bed. The service was impeccable, from doormen to front desk agents, to barmen and housekeeping ladies. Everyone is very well trained and gracious. The ONLY negative we found - which was truly annoying, was that guests are allowed to smoke at the beautiful bar at the entrance of the hotel. Which meant (a) we could not visit the bar! (b) in the evenings the hotel entrance reeks of cigarette smell - not a great welcome. Such a shame that in a developed country like Germany people can still smoke inside. Also shame that an international brand like Fairmont tolerates that!
A perfect hotel for your stay in Hamburg. The hotel is near the Central train Station. The City Center, the Townhall and the Hsrbour. You’ll reach the best shopping within 5 minutes walk. The hotel provides beautiful rooms, the best of service and fine restaurants even one with Michelin stars.
The breakfast is wonderful. Mattresses very comfortable and Hotel Extremely stylish and central for shops and Christmas markets etc etc. Ask for a room with water view. My only suggested improvements are some real milk in the fridge for in room coffee. I was ill while at the hotel but no one asked if I was ok or asked if I needed anything yet the reception knew. All that happened was I was charged extra because could not leave my room. Some water, chicken soup or visit to chemist for me would have been welcomed.
Yes, it’s lovely, but we wouldn’t go back. Pros: Great location, excellent service (mostly) Lake view room a must, old world charm, luxury. Cons: It’s expensive, but you know that before you go, the only thing i could moan about was 9.50E for a Tea bag at breakfast, ridiculous! We had a lovely lady at reception when we checked in, very helpful and charming, the courtyard view rooms are fine with beautiful bathrooms, but the courtyard is just a yard, with widows opposite, left and right, not nice at all. So upgraded to lake view, it really is a must! The bar! As smokers we loved the fact that we could have a drink and smoke after dinner, oh what a joy, sorry to those who don’t smoke, but tough! We had a good chat with locals and travelers alike, made our trip. 1 of the bartenders was surly and rude, I’m sorry I didn’t get his name, luckily he was only there 1 of our 4 nights. The Bed! For some reason only known to God, they have 2 single duvets on the double bed! So, turn over and your uncovered, we asked for them to be changed to a double duvet, only for them to put a double on top of the 2 singles! We took the singles off, simple, that’s what we asked for, the singles disappeared the last night thankfully. We did not find the bed or pillows comfortable at all Water was not replaced 1 night with the morning coffee cups not cleaned, to be fair the 3 calls we had to make to house keeping were met with immediate response. We’ve given the hotel a very good rating, because to be fair it isn’t average! Just all in all good.
Have stayed here more than once. Glad to return to good food, excellent service and first class accommodation. Rooms are spacious, well decorated and appointed, very comfortable. Staff are helpful without being overbearing and quite willing to suggest alternative restaurants outside the hotel if this will make your stay more enjoyable. Altogether a really good hotel and I am always happy to return when in Hamburg.
That was not our first time with this hotel and I must say that previously almost everything was perfect, but this time we were deeply disappointed by the hotel management ridiculous decision to allow to smoke cigars in a smoking room just after 10 pm, so if you are cigar smoker you don’t have a chance to sleep early if don’t want to quit smoking during your stay. Meanwhile hotel management still allow you to smoke awfully smelling cigarettes. And they call it customer care. Usually hotel staff was very friendly and cooperative but not this time. The manager on duty, lady with charming smile was absolutely indifferent with that permanent smile. After all can resume the conversation in few words “We don’t care if you are not happy with our decision. We don’t care that you were not informed while booking that we change our approach to cigar smokers. We don’t care, we just don’t care”. I have to confess that it was still with a nice smile and accompanied by “we apologize, but...”, “we’re sorry, but...” etc. But after all we don’t care. Really disappointing because I still think that this is the best in Hamburg. Not for smokers.
