It is rare for us to write a bad review, but the problems here are systemic, not just a one off. Arrived at 8pm, parked, had to walk 300M with luggage to check in, then 200m to room. Room had no chair or table, mattress did not fit the base, sitting on the bed was very uncomfortable. Room had no open shelves, large cupboards, full height doors resulted in not being able to use floor space in front. Noisy shower fan. No shower gel/soap, only bubble bath. Breakfast. Another hike, staff did not know where breakfast room was located. Walked over 500m before finding the correct room. Internet. Could not log on as my email address contained a number character. Wrong format error message. Reception advice useless. By trial and error I discovered any 6 character email address actually did work. e;g firstname.lastname@example.org worked fine. But that was an hour wasted. Breakfast was excellent, Transport links into Hamburg excellent. Free parking plenty of space. We did inform management that we would be writing this review. I recommend anyone to drive to Holiday Inn check in immediately on arrival.
Spent 2 nights with 2 friends in this hotel. The hotel is good value for your money. Ok rooms and ok breakfeast to the price. The only 2 "bad" things I have to say about the hotel is the it can be difficult to find out where to check in (Holiday Inn) and it´s fare from city centre. But it´s easy to get with bus to city center. I would stay here again if the price range stays the same.
Spent 6 days as a family of 4 in two rooms in this budget hotel, which adjoins (and shares a reception) with the Holiday Inn. Our rooms were small and basic but spotlessly clean and comfortably warm. Plenty of cupboard space for clothes. Loo and shower don't afford full privacy- just something you might need to be aware of. We also had access to a small lounge ( the Bridget Inn) and the bar, restaurant etc in Holiday Inn. The Bridge Inn breakfast was excellent value and surpassed expectations of a budget hotel. Staff were helpful. The hotel is a 10 minute bus ride from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and you can get anywhere from there. Buses ( number 3) are fast and regular. Restaurants near the bus stop were good value for standard fare. You get interesting views of the city. It is not a pretty location, but very convenient. A walk along the river on a sunny but cold October day was surprisingly interesting and attractive.
Check in staff were very nice and welcoming, you have to go to the neighbouring Holiday Inn to check in. The room was quiet and nicely decorated and beds were comfortable. The location isn't ideal though, about 40 minute walk to the centre, but there is a nearby bus stop which takes you to the city.
Although this hotel was advertised as a budget hotel I am still disappointed. Apologies for bullets but thought it best to layout like that. Positives Great pub attached Clean Staff Negatives Could not borrow a kettle( as I was not in holiday inn rooms attached) Room only big enough for a small adult not 3 Expensive for what it is Domestic staff slam doors when cleaning
It is a budget hotel of holiday inn. Rooms are congested and too small. It is not clean though. They provide complimentary breakfast which is just ok. Not good for family people to stay and also bit far from the city. We will have to take a bus to the city centre.
Stayed 3 nights, I'd say it is good value for money - it seemed that overall it is more expensive to book a hotel room in Hamburg than it was in Munich or Berlin. The rooms are small, so it's fine for spending the night, but wouldn't consider this place for a romantic getaway :) Our window was facing the street and it was super noisy, and couldn't really close the window as there wasn't much air in the room... Pros: cheap, nearby bus stop (bus no. 3 brings you to the central station), clean room, nice staff, safety box. Cons: some rooms facing the street - very noisy, no hair-dryer in the room, no mini bar, no complementary water, water from shower leaking into the room, a bit far from the city center.
Very small rooms, pay extra for breakfast, clean only 5 min drive to city center, nice bar and swimming pool with sauna have pay extra though. Super markets close by resturants also round the corner, hotel parking at an extra charge..
Stayed here for 4 days, Well getting to your room is a challenge by itself. Its a maze and you will have to work your way through the building and things get complicated if you have a huge luggage get ready for a workout. The room was Ok I was a single person staying in a three person room its fit for a single person or at make two but never for three person. I got a room near the road end so was a bit noisy. The room service was great so was the breakast. I would say they do the money's worth. Commuting would be a trouble as its a bit away and sometimes you will have to bank on taxi's for transport especially early mornings.
Just stayed at the bridge inn for 2 nights ( Friday, Saturday) with a group of 14 lads an it wasn't a very good start they got the wrong room 4 times (they did give them a free bottle of champagne to apologise). The hotel is joined with a holiday inn an I don't think the prices would be as high if it was on its own, rooms are very small but have everything you need, one brilliant idea they have is washing machines, dryers irons in a room on each floor. Main bars are a €20 taxi ride just be careful in some bars (story- night club bouncers are horrendous) In all I would recommend the hotel.
