Close to Halls Gap

Our room old and worn out. The carpet huge big stains and dirty looking (should have been replaced some time ago). The parking totally inadequate in the corner area (cars did not fit). No table only chairs (most inconvenient). Toilet flush difficult. TV difficult to operate.

Quick stopover on a driving holiday

The rooms are comfortable and a good size. The staff are lovely. We had kangaroos and ducks eating and resting right outside our window. It's quiet and there's plenty of car space. The let down was the cobweb with a spider and her babies crawling over the bathroom ceiling.

Could be much better with a little maintenance. -

Dining was excellent, but the dining room decor needs attention. Bed room had only a single bedside reading lamp, and that was fitted with a 5 watt lamp, dimmer than a TocH lamp. Bathroom taps were past their best with cracked handles, the vanity top was cracked with a poor attempt at repair.Toilet cistern seal passing causing frequent water running through the night. To be fare the staff addressed the reading lamp when brought to their attention. A nice place, pity to see it run down.

Halls Gap getaway

Lovely and clean rooms at the Comfort Inn. Everything we needed was provided, and a very reasonably priced mini bar!

not recommended

Room was dirty, tables hadn't been wiped yet, manager was unwilling to compromise on check in times "because the room needed to be cleaned".

Good bed, noise all the time form rooms next door from water pipes, every time used toilet or shower. Were told by night staff there would be hot breakfast available in morning in restaurant, but wasn't. Very disappointed overall

Comfortable accommodation, well located.

Spacious room, well appointed and good quality fittings. Very comfortable bed. Unfortunately the Restaurant was not open for the two nights of our stay. Motel is within walking distance of other eating options. Good views from within the property and a short walk down the road.

A bit of a shock

I have worked in hotels for over 20 years and never in my time have I ever (even in my extensive travels), ever been told that I only paid to use the queen bed and I was not to use the other beds in the room or I would be charged. You pay for the room, not the bed, I am terminally ill and cannot lay in bed with my partner for long, so I often sit or lay on a couch during the night to help my body. There was no couch, only 2 single beds and the queen bed. My partner told me to use the bed anyway and we would take them to court if they made us pay, however I didn't want the added stress (I think I have enough at the moment). The room was cheap enough, but to be told not to touch things in the room seemed like they really didn't care if there were guests there or not. I was worried if I touched other things they would charge for that too. Outside of that, the toilet back was falling down, the light shade in the bath room was broken and the pool not at all clean enough to use. They had a power outage during the day and the restaurant was closed for the night, there was no offer for anything else, the town only had 1 place open and the did a roaring trade, the hotel could have at least offered toasted sandwiches and other easy to prepare foods. they had power. In the hotels I have worked in, we would have gone out of our way to ensure the guests had some way of getting something to eat if there was little other choice. It put a great damper on my bucket list holiday.

Great stay

The king size bed was great! Very comfortable! The shower had good pressure, but leaked into the main room. The buffet breakfast was nice, but not worth the price. Restaurant was closed but had no issue finding a place to eat nearby. Area was very busy for the long weekend but everyone did a great job with keeping up with the demand

Comfortable and close to town.

Pros The beds were excellent. I had a great nights sleep after a long walk. Cons The nanny state signage was a bit unwelcoming. Cleaner missed a few spots. I would happily stay here good value for money.
