This is one of the best affordable hotels in Halifax. Rooms are nice, and the location is great. Check in and check out were easy. It was my second time staying at this hotel. I didn't try their breakfast since I left early.
First there needs to be an update to the pictures since it has extremely changed. I found it very very clean, comfortable bed, very quiet in the rooms. Has a small morning breakfast but then I seldom have a large breakfast. And it was extra nice to know that the front door is locked at 11pm. They provided you with the extra key to front door along with key to your room. Greeted friendly too!
Our stay was pretty comfortable and it was clean. I would recommend this to those of you who are not easily woken up by noise as it is right beside the 102. For those of you who are not, then this place is great and nicely priced. Recently renovated.
It's not the Ritz, but it is comfortable and clean. I have been here three times and will likely be back. Convenient location, decent price, friendly staff. Next to the highway but not noisy, stayed with my family, we all enjoyed our stay.
This hotel has been recently renovated (or is in the process of being updated). It's definitely an older building, but the lobby is elegantly updated (if small) and the rooms were quite well-done and comfortable. It has some things missing in the rooms (safe, coffee maker, extra pillows/blankets), but for a 3-star hotel, it has the basics - lots of towels in the bathroom, (very) comfortable bed, mini-fridge, toiletries, TV - everything you'd need for a short stay. I found it very comfortable and slept very well! The staff were kind and helpful, though not available 24/7 - but again, it's to be expected for 3-star hotel. The breakfast was also good (egg bites, croissants, toast, coffee, juice, cereal), and they have a little bar area for seating. Unfortuantely, the breakfast runs only from 8:15am, so I was only able to take advantage of it once during my stay - I had some early morning starts. It would be nice to have something for guests who have to leave early, but I understand there aren't enough staff to be up so early in the morning every day! The location is very out-of-the-way as it's outside of the city, near the highway (so it's a little noisy, but not too bad). However, it was surprisingly accessible via transit (there's a bus stop about 5 minutes away) and there's a decent amount of parking close by. Overall, the staff are friendly, the room is comfortable, and for a budget hotel, it was good value! Just don't go in expecting a 5-star experience, and it's a pretty good hotel.
A horrible experience from beginning to end. It’s right by a highway and an on ramp so the noise is just ridiculous from day to night (as well as all night). Horns, sirens, screeching tires, and general traffic noise. The wifi was horrible, it was off more than it was on. We had to call the front desk several times to tell them about the wifi- sometimes they reset it, sometimes they never. We also saw several bugs- my mom had a spider in her bed and there were yellow jackets in the stairwell. The continental breakfast was horrible- green bananas, Dad’s brand pre-packaged cookies, and stale cereal. It was WAY too hot and we couldn’t control the temperature. There was an air conditioner but it’s very old and loud. It was also 2 feet away from my face when I was on the bed so the blowing air was too strong and loud- we’d never have been able to keep it on throughout the night when we slept, so we slept in 25 degrees plus every night. Our door was a repurposed one, it looked horrible but more importantly we felt very unsafe. There was no latch or dead bolt, just the flimsy doorknob. If someone were to try to burst in they likely could have. We were very disappointed from beginning to end and we will definitely not be back.
Obviously renovated and well done. The fellow at the front desk was very polite and provided us extra pillows, offered extra towels. Breakfast was simply but neatly laid out. Nice central location. It was a great place to stay!
We booked this at the last minute for a one night stay. Lobby was recently renovated. Our room was also recently remodeled. There was a lack of outlets. And there was some exposed wiring. Also a few extension cords to power lights ant the A/C. THere are other options in the area. But, it did fill a need and was clean. Breakfast was included, but very limited. Would not stay again.
A good Hotel between International Airport and Halifax to stay, it's located close to some stores, not much noise close to here. It has a new, good bed and bathroom with bath tub. It has a good service, clean room and a great bed to sleap. Only the price is average of the city for a hotel.
From the bad smell of the rooms to the old furnishings. Dirty. Do not stay here. We saw the posted pictures and thought it would be ok. The room they offered us smelt like someone had died on it. The lobby looked like the lobby looked like it was from a flop house in a 1950s movie. We ended up leaving - just couldn't stay.
