clean room. Convenient location. Nice staff, needs a little more training. As a suggestion, should have at least a welcome water bottle for the first night. Also many guests leave for early flights. Hotel should be prepared with a small packed breakfast, even a yogurt or fruit or something packed.

Nice hotel. But was put in room 3005 right next to the breakfast area. After arriving at 2am it was quite a shock to get woken up at around 6am. Couldn’t get back to sleep and it’s impossible in that particular room. Got moved but the lady on the front desk was the friendliest and never apologized. Once moved the room I got was great. Gym was out of order. Also had issues where room keys weren’t working. Great hotel as long as you don’t get room 3005.

The advertisement said there was an outdoor swimming pool. There was not - but there was a good (public pool serving several hotels) about 250 metres away - crossing 2 main roads and requiring us to change out of our wet bathing costumes before returning to the hotel. Our room was not prepared for us when we arrived and the double bed had to be splint into the 2 singles we had booked. Servicing of the room was poor on most days and on several occasions we had to sit out on the balcony, in the late afternoon, whilst the beds were made.

The room was in good condition. Staff were attentive, including the room cleaners. Just a few minor things in the room that didn’t impact on the holiday were the short flush push button of the toilet that was inoperative and the air conditioner was working, however the bottom flap was loose as someone broke one of the clips that held the flap in place. A photo was taken ten minutes after checking in. The push button for the overhead shower was also unusable as the fittings were loose. I had to use the small shower head instead which was fine. I didn’t notice at the time, that the swimming pool featured on the brochure was not of the hotel (ST Hotel Azur) complex itself but another building opposite the hotel (Aqualuna) along the waterfront. The gymnasium that was featured was anything but what the brochure had featured. My wife and I used the gym which again was in another hotel (ST Hotel Bayview) and not the hotel where I was staying. The equipment available was very disappointing, the electrical equipment like the treadmill as one of them had a inoperative start button that no one could utilise as it appeared to be gouged out, therefore the machine couldn’t be used, the other treadmill was working fine and is the only one you can use fully with no effects. The room itself was very small and looked like the room could do with a bit of DIY. The breakfast itself for me was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Typical continental breakfast with full English breakfast buffet.

Everything about my stay was wonderful — from the attentive staff to the cleanliness and amenities, as well as the convenient location. I was especially impressed by the front desk staff member Anthony and the cleaning lady Winnie, who went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and well-maintained, making my visit very enjoyable. What stood out the most was the professionalism of the manager, Patricia. When I brought up a small issue regarding the placement of a water station in the lobby, she handled it swiftly and with great care. It was clear that the team is dedicated to providing excellent service. I truly wish I could have such outstanding staff at my own hotel. Everything ran smoothly throughout my stay, and I will definitely be coming back.

Comfortable modern hotel in a good location just off the seafront. Handy for ferry to Valetta. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Good breakfast offering that includes hot and cold buffet. The pool complex, shared with other hotels, is 5 minutes walk away, although this was never a problem.

Location great, hotel itself very poor. Breakfast ok but lack of decent selection of fresh fruit or vegetarian options. We had a superior room which was basic to say the least, so dread to think what a standard room was like. Bed made daily but room not cleaned, we had a cup of coffee sat on a table for 8 days. Bathroom definitely not cleaned either, towels changed but amount left varied. Returned from day out at 16.15 to find room still not cleaned so no we had to tell the cleaner to just change our towels. The pool is pretty good, just across the road. However, half of the beds by the pool are reserved for another hotel as it is a communal beach club. Non residents can pay to use this so most days beds around the pool are taken, but, there are plenty more up on the roof terraces. I personally would not go back to this hotel.

The hotel was clean. The room was a good size. We had a large bed, which was comfortable for me but my friend found too soft. We stayed 4 days and asked for the room to be cleaned and it was done. The staff were helpful. The buffet breakfast had a good selection. Our room had a balcony and did overlook the local residents but it was not a problem. The hotel is located in a side street off the main road. It is near the harbour. There is also plenty of restaurants if you want to eat out. I would stay here again.

Great stay at the Azur hotel. Friendly staff (mention to Ivan and Fiona) that goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. Comfortable room, full breakfast. Note the pool isn’t in the hotel but at a nearby club (very walkable distance) which also has great service, drinks and food. There is also a safe locker section in the basement if you need extra time to venture before your flight. The bathroom in that section needs some love.
