The hotel is in an excellent location. Loads of bars, shops and restaurants nearby, beautiful harbour view from some rooms, and very close to many buses and ferries to Valletta. The hotel is new, and has great amenities, particularly great shower and is very clean. The best thing about the hotel though is the staff. I stayed nearly 2 weeks there and felt like some of them were old friends by the time i left. Particular mentions go to Naran who cleaned my room so well, to Niko on reception, always smiling and helpful, and Patricia the manager who not only sorted out a small problem with my initial room which was caused by a lack of clear description of the room by Expedia, but she also remembered it was my birthday mid stay, and even had a happy birthday balloon on my bed when i returned in the evening. Such a lovely touch. Thanks to all there. Top marks to everyone.

Lovely modern room and shower. Spotlessly clean and refreshed every morning. Spacious, fridge, safe, tea and coffee. Breakfast plentiful. Staff helpful and courteous. Warning hotel has no bar but rows of bars and restaurants within walking/stumbling distance.

On the 13th floor w spectacular view of the marina from a large patio. The room was very clean and bed quite comfortable. The pool and loungers on the 14th floor was beautiful with the kindest bartender and great view. Location is perfect for transit access- ferry, bus and Bolt (their Uber). The staff was so pleasant. Breakfast was good. Tip: the convenience store across the street with stock you up with anything you need. Get yourself bottled water as the hotel does not sell it aside from at the pool deck. I really enjoyed my 5 night stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Room was very clean, although we did not have a view from our room, though it did the job as it is in an ideal location just off the strand near hundreds of restaurants and the marina. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was great. View from the rooftop pool area was amazing.

Our stay at Alavits was perfect. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and always very pleasant to chat to each day. Our room was absolutely perfect! Great size and great amenities. Perfect for a family and lived the rooftop pool with a great view over Malta. We were so happy during the entirety of our stay. 😊😊

Clean, modern hotel room. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was bountiful with many gluten free options. Wish the room had an iron (I'm sure I could have called down for one), and that there was a fan in the bathroom to help control humidity (a losing battle in Malta, though).

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very good. It was set back from the busy road which was good as no traffic noise could be heard at night. It was in a central location with plenty of eating places nearby and just a 10 minute walk to the ferry crossing for Valetta. I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Malta.

We got transferred from the newer, better-rated hotel (Alavits) to an older, lower-rated ST hotel nearby (Bayview), apparently as the air-conditioning wasn’t working in our room. However, from our new room, we could see the Alavits hotel and saw guests checking in to the corner junior suite we had asked to be allocated to celebrate a milestone birthday. We should have got a partial refund as Bayview is older and cheaper to book than Alavits. While we still had a large terrace, it was lower in height than the other hotel, and, although closer to the water, it had less privacy as people from the pool could see us. The pool facilities were not great and did not seem very clean. We used the spa inside; it had broken tiles, black things floating in the water, and mould/algae on the tiles at the water level. The room was very small, and the sun/heat stopped us from using the terrace for most of the day, so we felt confined. We had incredibly noisy guests next door to us, who brought other people onto their balcony, singing and shouting loudly after the 11pm noise curfew. We were so tired after travelling the first night, we didn't have the energy to make a complaint, but the noise continued, so after making a complaint the next night, the hotel informed us of their one strike policy. Thankfully, the guests took notice and our final night was much better and quieter. The breakfast was adequate, but best to go early. The juice didn't taste right (syrup?). Very walkable to locations.

Great location

Hotel is a great location, and easy walking and ferry access to the sites. Room was spacious and quiet and breakfast had a great selection. Car park is at sister hotel in basement, and approx 5 min walk, and very safe to leave car. Checking a bit slow, but other from that would stay here again.

Cleaning of the room very poor could be any time of the day at random towels barely every change did needed sheets never changed also, sometimes service skipped even if you have alerted on their system cleaning wanted. Food is terrible

Great location in Gzira/Sliema, right across from the bus stop and the water/boardwalk. Good breakfast spread. Nice pool and terrace, but not enough sun coverage. Good family room with 4 beds, but there is a lack of hooks on the walls that have nothing on them, as well as no counter space in the bathroom. As the balconies are interior, people smoke on them, and the smell comes into the room through the door that doesn't close 100%, which was a nuisance. All in all a great option!
