Annual Employee Getaway

We had a fantastic time staying @ the Mighty Big Wheel for our 3rd annual employee getaway. We had plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the beautiful home & it was just a short walk to the beach. The underneath carport area was especially enjoyed by the kids. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home and great location!

Our stay was perfect for our large group! The Mighty Big Wheel had everything we needed and more. Yvette was a great host and very responsive! Would recommend.

Family Getaway

The property is great for family vacation. It is a short walk to the beach, has great views of the bay and gulf. The unique A-frame design sticks out and is easy to locate when you arrive. The outdoor game area below the house is fantastic to hangout after a day at the beach for teens and adults alike. The owners were very responsive to questions or concerns during our stay. I’d recommend this property to anyone with a larger group.

Weekend getaway

We got a VRBO house to stay for a quick little weekend getaway, as we had visited Gulf Shores before and we had really liked it. We stayed at the Mighty Wheel & overall it was a pleasant experience. The house was really really cold & we had issues with the AC going down and not adjusting, but everything else was fine. We would stay again. Host was helpful & easy to get ahold of.

Great property

This was a great location and great house. It sticks out and is easy to find due to the unique shape compared to the rest. The floor plan is great and was easy for all of us to hang out. The outdoor shower and bathroom were awesome for quick use vs. going into the house. Patios on all floors were nice for an early morning cup of coffee. The beach is so close and easy to get to. I would recommend!

Great for our family vacation

Yvette was a wonderful host and the house was truly amazing. There was plenty to keep the kids entertained, including the outdoor games and pool table. We LOVED having the ice maker - it made filling ice chests so quick and convenient. The beach was a short trek across the street. Sunsets were stunning from the balcony. Plenty of space for everyone to relax, hang out, and enjoy. Would definitely return!

Family vacay

Perfect spot and price was reasonable! Our family had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the benefits of Big Wheel! The downstairs outside space was perfect for grilled burgers while the kids played in kid pools and adults played all the great games! We cooked almost all our meals and we were able to spend more time together! Shell hunting wasn’t as good as years before but the weather was great! Thank you for providing a trip to the resort down the road! We loved it!

Almost Perfect

The property is very nice, and close to the beach.The only negatives we had were that one of the air conditioners stopped working, and there was a water leak (leaking through the floor to the outside, not inside), which turned out to be the same problem. An air conditioner pipe in the floor had become clogged, causing both the stoppage of that air conditioning unit and the leak. Communication with the landlord was quick and clear and they had technicians on-site immediately. Both things were fixed very quickly.We also found that the dryer didn't work well on anything heavy. Towels and bedding had to be run through several times, and ultimately we took them out and hung them on the deck railings to dry in the wind.A few items missing from the listing:There is a standard coffee maker AND a Kuereg.There aren't blackout curtains, so light is going to come in in the mornings, but at least those widows face South, not East.The listing says one of the beds is a full, but all of the beds in the house appear to be queens.There are also no normal sized coffee cups and no large pot in the kitchen.All that said, we had a great time. We were there with 10 adults and two kids, representing four generations of our family. There were a lot more beach gear and toys there than we expected too.Finally, the Beach Club is great, and don't forget to ask for a military discount if you qualify for one. They do have that.I would definitely recommend this property.

The house was really great, and glad we had plenty to do there since the weather didnt cooperate for spending a lot of time at the beach.
