Exceeded Expectations
This was our first stay in the Martinque community. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, had a well stocked kitchen, lots of beach supplies, and books and games, as well. It was in a great location in the neighborhood and the golf cart was greatly appreciated. We weren’t able to get the TV working in the bunk room during our visit, but we didn’t reach out because it really wasn’t an issue for us. We had no problem accessing the house when we arrived…very smooth process. The community is absolutely beautiful and doesn’t feel like your typical beach neighborhood. We felt very safe there. However, there were several signs throughout the neighborhood that advised to watch out for alligators and snakes, but we thankfully didn’t see either during our stay. We did see rabbits, squirrels, several beautiful birds, and a few armadillos which were cool to watch.

Great stay in a charming neighborhood
My wife and I spent about six weeks at the property, with our kids visiting during their spring breaks. First impression when walking into the house was that it was clean and appeared to have some recent remodeling or renovations. Kitchen is has everything you need to cook and eat dinner in the house. The second upstairs bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds which worked out perfectly for our kids and their friends. Beach is clean and doesn't have the crowds like Orange Beach or Gulf Shores. Both swimming pools were open during the entire stay. I suggest bringing beach chairs and sand toys. There were a few toys and one chair. Can't say enough good things about the property and the neighborhood. We enjoyed the experience so much, that we booked the same property for the same time next year.

Adequate
Litehouse II isn’t the cleanest property. Popcorn was spilled in the downstairs bedroom and had not been cleaned up prior to our arrival. Pots and pans were dirty, we had to thoroughly clean/scrub everything before using. Plan to rent chairs/umbrella or bring your own. The description says some are provided for use, chairs are old and broken and there is no umbrella. There are lots of sand toys and floats. Don’t let the golf cart be a selling point for you, it broke on our 2nd day and we were never able to get someone to come fix it or replace it. Thankfully the house isn’t far from the pool/beach. My family did have an enjoyable trip, the beach isn’t too crowded and the Martinique neighborhood is good for families.

Family vacation
The house was the perfect size for our family which was a party of 8. It was very helpful that there was a bedroom and full bath on the first floor for the grandparents. Short walk to the beach and golf cart was a plus. I really appreciated being able to bring our dog. Dog walking area was very close to the house. Everyone had a great time!
Thank You!

Litehouse II
Pros: location and layout were great. Management very nice to work with. Kitchen stocked (though much like a college apartment, mismatched everything, well used dishes, coffee stained mugs) two of three bedrooms spacious with comfortable beds, beach accessories very helpful, golf cart helpful. Beach not crowded even highly of summer. Cons: this house needs updating/refresh. Bathrooms need caulking to avoid feeling grungy. Downstairs bedroom was hot, never cooled off. Dishwasher didn’t work. Whole place needs to be painted. This house would be perfect with some attention to details.

Litehouse 2
We love Ft. Morgan and try and visit annually. Litehouse 2 was great, location was key as you are one of the closest houses to the beach access. This house had everything you could possibly need while on vacation, however, as with many beach houses, it has been very loved by its many guests. Yes, the fridge is dated but it worked fine (just a little slow to cool down initially). Our biggest problem was the golf cart, there was no way to ever fully turn it off
(someone had hot wired it at some point according to maintenance and the key just spins and spins in the ignition), so we were “stranded” on two occasions and had to push it back to the garage due to zero battery life. Although maintenance did come and tried to fix it, it still would never hold a charge - bummer as this is a big golf cart community. There was some confusion between Martinique and the management company of the property as to who was responsible for the golf cart. In any case, it never fully worked and we were so thankful to be close to the beach access due to that. Most importantly the A/C worked like a charm and in that immense heat, we were so thankful. Litehouse 2 was a wonderful place to stay with a great location to the beach and has everything one would need, just needs a little TLC for it to be perfect!

Loved this house!
My family of 6 adults and two babies stayed in this house and we loved it! It was very comfortable for all of us, and the house had everything we needed (except beach towels, but thankfully we brought a lot of our own beach towels). The house has a well stocked kitchen, a gas grill, a pack and play, high chair, two beach wagons, beach toys, umbrellas, plenty of linens, extra blankets, hangers, toys, board games, giant jenga, a golf cart, big bean bag chairs for extra seating in the living room, you name it the house probably has it! Some previous reviews said there were issues with the dryer, but the dryer worked great for us with no problems. The dishwasher did leak on the floor, a mixer in the kitchen didn't work, and one of the shower curtains upstairs was breaking a little bit, but those were minor issues that didn't impact our stay. Also the location of the house is glorious! You can either take a quick walk to the beach or the pool, or a quick golf cart ride, the board walks to the beach are wonderful and have a shower and hose for washing sand off after a day at the beach, the pool next to the beach is gorgeous with lots of wonderful beach chairs and trees that offer shade, there is a gym next to the pool, the amenities are simply wonderful. The check in and check out process was very simple and the office is very easy to communicate with if you need anything or have any questions. There are also a few cute restaurants and small grocery stores near by, we liked that the location was outside of the busy golf shores area and more secluded, the beaches weren't crowded, it is a very family friendly neighborhood! There is also a really neat old historic fort at the end of the peninsula called Fort Morgan. It's a quick drive from the house and it's a cool thing to visit if you want to get in some history or an educational activity during your trip. Overall I highly recommend this house and we hope to come back again! Thank you!

Could not get a response!!
We had an issue with the washer/dryer leaving black spots on new vacation clothes. I texted the girl I had been dealing with. No response for 2 days. I went to the office personally, they did not acknowledge my texts and said they would send maintenance to look at washer/dryer. Maintenance found that a cap had worked loose and the “gunk” in it was what stained our clothes. I requested some type of compensation for damaged clothes. They said the would contact me. After 2 more texts from me, they have still not contacted me. I am shocked at the level of poor customer service! We have stayed in these homes for 3 years and until this year no problems. We love the area and planned to return every year....I am just SO disappointed in the behavior of the office staff. 😦

I would definitely rent again
Overall excellent stay The kitchen is well stocked. The house is perfectly located near the beach and pools. The golf cart made it easy to get around the property. We would definitely rent again. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable and could use paint updating but nothing that effected our stay.
