No customer service and not clean

When we pulled up the trash was overflowing and not taken to the curb. The house was dirty. The bedding had vomit on it. There was blood on the bathroom floor. The washer had mold throughout it. There was nothing to clean the washer with. I called customer service and they brought sheets for everyone but just left them inside the door. They didn’t come and make the beds with the new bedding and take the soiled bedding away. There was hair and old soap in all the showers. Overall the place didn’t look to have been cleaned after the previous guests. When I called customer service they had told me they would send someone to clean and no one ever showed up. I was told to send pictures to the email provided and got blocked from the email. I reached out several other times to see when someone would be there to clean and nothing was ever resolved.

We had a wonderful time. The house is amazing and plenty of room for large family gathering.

We had 10 in our group and had plenty of room. The porch is awesome - you can hear the waves and enjoy the sun. Our grandsons played in the sand beside the house. It is a short walk to the beach.

Nice Beach House

Our family just returned from a four day stay at Ellie Fish. The house was clean and very nice. Location to the beach was close. The only reason we wouldn't return is because of the terrible vampire mosquitoes that come out at night. You absolutely cannot even go outside in that area when the sun sets. We couldn't enjoy the porch or anything. The beaches have vicious biting flies in this area also. We tried several areas of beach in Fort Morgan but couldn't enjoy because of the bugs in the area. Ended up driving to Gulf Shores instead. NO late night walk on the beach for sure!! The owners might want to consider turning the hot water up a bit on the hot water heater. The water gets warm but not hot. All of us girls missed our hot showers. In summary it's a great house but not the greatest location. A little to swampy with a massive bug problem. Maybe it's not so bad at a different time of year? We did enjoy the neighbors dog "Blue" who roams the beach and will play fetch with you and hang out if you give him a bit of attention though. He was a fun fellow.

Spacious vacation home

The house is very clean and spacious, the beach view is ok, there are few houses in the front that block the view but it’s not a beach front house so I didn’t expect to see the whole ocean. Super easy beach access (drive or walk) Overall a good experience, I would recommend.

Beautiful house very close to the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house. The inside is extremely open concept and the deck is enormous. We had 8 people on the deck without feeling crammed. The beds are also firm and comfortable and it was nice having 3 full baths after coming back from the beach. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked most of our meals while we were there. Two minor negatives: the WiFi was pretty bad and a few of us didn’t have cell service either. And there is an outdoor shower but only the faucet a foot above the ground works making actual showers impossible. Other than that, we loved the house and would recommend it highly!

Great Family Vacation

Loved the house!! My four kids enjoyed every part of our stay. A little further from town than what I expected. The house was so quite and peaceful great time for a family with small children.

Well appointed home, with all the amenities.

Away from it all, yet not so far away if you desire a bit of action! Clean home with lots of room. Loved the front and back decks. Kitchen well stocked, but bring coffee filters. Only downside was outdoor grill, similar to what you would have at a state park.

Wonderful 1st time Vrbo!!!

We had a record snow storm coming so we decided to head south to get out of the snow that shut down our town- in one day I found this house that -allowed us to bring our 2 dogs!! I thought I had completed all required paper work until a Joan from Turnkey called me to inform me I need to use Google Chrome! We were driving on ice packed roads while she emailed and texted us to complete the reservation!! She was so kind and efficient!! We, including the dogs, loved the house and the proximity to the beach! Everything we needed was provided and the decorations were exceptional! My husband kept saying “a professional decorator completed this house “!!! It was pricy for just the 2 (2 dogs) but would love to bring more family and friends the next time!!

Family friends with tons of kids!

EllieFish house offered us a great amount of space! Short walk to the beach!! The beach had some amazing wildlife, much more than we’ve seen in Florida. We saw dolphins, sting ray, tons of crabs big and small, hermit crabs, jelly fish, and tropical fish! The kids loved playing on the beach and looking for shells! The WiFi was a little spotty, but we didn’t mind since we were trying to unplug! A few things we’d recommend for this house are: more bath towels and kitchen towels, a crock pot and griddle (would be super helpful for larger families staying, trying to do pancakes on four pans was a little hilarious!), more silverware, and a laundry basket for folding some clothes:-). Overall we LOVED the house, the space, the sand around house was fun for kids to play in, beds were comfy, great seating in living room and kitchen, and we really enjoyed all the games for everyone to enjoy!! Thanks for a great week of fun! We were so happy our trip wasn’t cancelled due to hurricane, we saw so much damage, praying for all those affected!! Was shocked to see the property in such great condition, what a blessing it went unharmed! Feeling refreshed and missing the beach already! Will plan to come back again!

Beach house

The home was beautiful and spacious. Had all the right supplies in the kitchen. We enjoyed the balcony and the beach. The directions to the beach were right but the neighbors were a bit rude to us when we got on the beach. It was hard to tell what was private property and public beach. Also the WiFi in the home was terrible. It didn’t work most of the time causing us not to have cell service at all because of the home location. Other than that we would come back.

Noise Monitor in house

Although the house was nice and accommodated us all, it was NEVER disclosed that there is a noise monitor in this house. Due to inclement weather, we had to stay inside several nights and resorted to playing board games. I received NUMEROUS texts throughout out vacation saying there was excessive noise complaints and we could not understand who was complaining. We were not disturbing any of the neighbors that we had even made friends with. After calling Turnkey Properties the day after the first texts, the representative mentioned something about a decibal level. I immediately was irritated. The remainder of our vacation was stressful worrying about getting another text or have someone come to the property to check on us. I will never rent another house without asking first if there is a noise monitor in the house.

Great Getaway

We enjoyed the house and all the amenities! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We had some difficulty figuring out beach access and we had some first tier "neighbors" explain that the first 75 ft of beach in front of each house is private. They showed us where the strip of beach we could be was which wasn't too far of a walk and it was fine. Beach was not crowded so great place to enjoy the beach and social distance!

First time to Fort Morgan

Check in process and communication with owner was excellent. I think it would be helpful to have more clear directions on how to access the beach from the rental. The rental was beautiful and could see the ocean from the deck. The deck chairs could use some thicker cushions. Overall would recommend renting, beach walk was further than described.

Nice place, but had a few issues

The house is genuinely beautiful and well maintained (with the exception of the huge amount of black “mold” all over the bathroom ceiling!). We appreciated the fact that the finishings of the house were very luxurious and they didn’t seem to skimp on them at all! The location was nice, but further away from “things to do” than was expected, which In some ways with coronavirus was actually nice because the beach wasn’t very crowded. The main issues we had were with the property management company. We didn’t have enough washcloths (only 3) and there were no crib sheets or sheets/blanket for the sleeper sofa. There were around 10 phone calls/text messages before they ever dropped something off the NEXT day. They called so many times that it truly became a distraction from relaxing and more of a task I had to keep following up with them on all because of lack of communication within the management company. The internet also was not very consistent. The check in time said 3pm on one document and then 4pm on another. We got there at 3 hoping to be able to get in, and the keypad didn’t work until 4. The other issue that was out of their control was that the power went out while we were there...not their fault, but definitely not fun to deal with on vacation.

Great first trip to Gulf Shores

The house was great! It was clean and decorated cute. Had a little walk to the beach but not too far. Beaches were not crowded so you didn’t feel like you were on top of each other. Missing a few items in the kitchen if you like to cook a lot (cookie pans, only one spatula). It’s about 20 minutes from Walmart so make sure you get it all in one trip! Couple local restaurants close though and a little local store too!

Nice house!

We enjoyed our stay at Ellie Fish. My only complaint is that the website does not clearly state how/where beach access was and when I called Turnkey, the man on the phone was no help. We figured it out finally but that information should be on the listing.
