Fantastic, wonderful, beautiful! Customer service 10/10. Room is excellent. You have your own private pool, and I mean private! Skinny dipping essential! No one will see you. Woo Bar on the main level or Sip Bar by the beach. 5 different places to eat on the resort. Clear water, beautiful clean beach, islands to look at in every direction. Highly recommend you stay here.
We booked W Koh Samui for our 10th wedding anniversary. We did hesitate at first as there appeared to be not much for my 2 kids (3 and 6 year old). We decided to take the plunge and book, thinking the kids should be ok. We loved the hotel, it was so relaxing for us. with our own pool the kids were wanting to go in every day. staff were lovely and attentive to our needs. Every staff member wanted to be at work. it makes a huge difference for the guest. The staff also helped to look after the kids...i mean they gave them small snacks, talked to them, gave them ice creams. We loved it there very much and has been the most relaxing holiday ever. great place and high recommended by us
I have spending few nights here with a friends of mine. Tropical Room is spacious with large terrace with own pool. Bathtub & bathrooms amenities are my favorite! We enjoy a quality of Breakfast and fresh coconut made our day!!! Woo Bar has stunning view with great services and friendly staffs. Overall we enjoyed all resort facilities and services. Yoga room is my favorite place I wish to spending more time practicing my daily yoga there! Will come back for sure.
In short, beautiful property, spectacular rooms, wonderfully friendly staff, over the top in terms of amenities and facilities. Arrived late evening due to delayed flights but were warmly met by airport pick up staff, and an amazing and friendly young lady who checked us in and gave us a quick overview of the property and brought us down to our room. The villas are stunning, spacious, appointed with every amenity you may need. The private pool is bigger than just about any private villas I've stayed at. There is also a huge common pool if you choose to use or have friends travelling together. Housekeeping services were excellent and we never saw them coming or going. Beach area is very prettyl, with a really nice bar down there and Japanese restaurant Namu which is a must try. Daily breakfast included has tons of options for western or Asian taste. We lucked out being there for the 'First Saturday of the Month' brunch which was above & beyond as well with lots of extra touches. Woo Bar is a stunning focal point, perfect for sunset cocktails. I had read reviews that its quiet, and yes it may not have dozens of people there every night...but you can easily get a car and head to Chewang and party with drunken hoards of tourists if you really wish that atmosphere. There were cool DJ's and even a fantastic acoustic guitarist there for sunset one evening. Great vibe if you ask me, friendly staff, and a slightly unconventional cocktail menu and snack menu if you need a bite. One extra point I want to make. We awoke one morning and found a note under the door stating that 'Rain was Expected' for the day and the hotel had added extra events for the day to give extra options. They had added some cooking classes, extra fitness classes and specials at the spa, a couple movie showings, etc. Very thoughtful in my opinion, and it didn't even really rain! Absolutely one of the top properties you can find on the island, beautiful, relaxing, island hip, and perfect for couples.
This would have to have been the best holiday we have been on, the staff were amazing and nothing was a problem. The rooms were great we had an ocean front villa that was perfect, we would leave the room and be on the beach in a matter of seconds.
It is one of the best properties in Ko Samui. The staff is really friendly and you are treated royally. The Woo bar is beautiful, where you can enjoy a good drink and relax for some time with a spectacular view. The rooms are spacious with huge washrooms and a private pool. The beach is outstanding. It is well above most of the beaches in Ko Samui when it comes to beauty and quality. A very quiet and serene place to relax and enjoy your holiday. Just that, all these things come with a huge cost. But nevertheless, holidays are all about making memories and having experiences and W does that in a wonderful way. TOP CLASS!
This is tricky. Lets be clear its a nice place. Good property and the rooms are first class. That said, at the price point I expect the W that you see from every view to stand for Wow. I was not wowed. There just isn't much to do at the W. They position themselves as a happening resort and chic brand name (thus the W displayed everywhere). In reality its just a quiet place where you relax and lay around. Its the designer jeans approach to marketing. Convince someone that your brand has cache and they will pay absurd prices for it. Take the Woo bar for instance. Neat set up but there is nothing going on there. Zilch. Maybe 3 people quietly having a drink until 9 pm. An out of place DJ awkwardly playing tunes. A bizarre head statue wearing headphones in the water feature (no its not a pool as it looks on the website). "Reserved" cards on the sunken tables apparently reserved for no one (old nightclub trick). Its like someone planned a trendy, urban club but its just viable in that corner of the world. Granted it was offseason but I'm not buying it. The actual pool is small and unimpressive. Nice big W in the view of course though. So if you are a quiet resort then be a quiet resort. And for heavens sake, make it adult only. There is absolutely nothing conducive to children at this adult designed resort but I suppose they are scared to miss out on a buck. So instead of relaxing at the one pool, you have loud three year olds at the one place they can entertain themselves. Same as the beach area. Come on W, do the right thing an make it adult only. Drinks at the resort are expensive. Big city club prices in the US. Prices for the in room bar are simply ridiculous. Didn't eat at the restaurants other than the complimentary breakfast buffet which was quite good. Service was very good. Lots of smiles and a friendly helpful staff. Golf cart service was always prompt. Absolutely no complaints on service. Location is pretty far away from anything else. You will need to cab to go anywhere and W will happily order you one with a nice up charge for themselves (super tacky and not in the spirit of customer service at a high priced resort). I did like the room, the views, and the beach area...though take note that Koh Samui is not actually much of a beach place. The W beach is a small sandy strip. Probably good by Koh Samui standards but not remotely a beach resort relative to other beaches around the world. Overall it comes down to value and what you are looking for. The cost for W so exceeds other resorts you just expect something amazing. If I went back I would stay somewhere for half the cost (or less) and be closer to other sights and sounds. If you want to chill and don't mind all the items I pointed out, its still has potential to be a good choice.
If you are looking for a special time in Koh Samui, look no further than this gem. Of course you will be aware already if you are considering W that it is an up market venue so it won't be cheap. But you know, for what is offered across the board by this wonderful hotel, my opinion is that it offers excellent value. The food is simply first class. And it was wonderful that the house bubbles were so good and carefully chosen. I got the feeling that management and staff really want to provide a great service and great value at this hotel. We felt well looked after and welcome at all times. There is an authenticity here. It goes without saying that the location is off-the-scale good. Cleanliness is first rate, the music was just right and we never felt rushed. There is a special 'Esprit de Corps' in this place. Staff are happy and they set the mood for the guests. Yes it costs a bit of money to stay here. But look at the experience and the memories. You will never forget them and is that not what a holiday is all about? Bravo W!
From your arrival you're treated like royalty, it has a true honeymoon/retreat feel. Koh Samui's busier parts seem a lifetime away. Amazing food. Awesome view. Great service. It was amazing. I recommend it to everyone. Good portion sizes and awesome service. Thank you all so much!
We had a fabulous experience of the BRUNCH they have every 1 st Saturday of each month. First you are welcome with a stunning deco and view, then the management and staff is perfect, the brunch itself is the highest level ever on Samui. For sure you shouldn't miss it! I would go every month if I was living here in Samui!! Thank you W!
