We're staying here as a part of a G Adventures island hopping tour and it's one of my terrible hotel experiences. Generally Thai people are one of the friendliest people I've come across. Not this hotel. Most staff appeared indifferent. Just a little smile and a hello goes a long way. The rooms were unclean and have stains on sheets. The 2nd day clean didn't happen, everything was just as we left it although they pulled up the sheets - would have preferred the room clean as it was sandy from the beach. The cleaning staff stole my rommies money left in the room while we were out. Perhaps they thought it was a tip - we were unsure. I think if people are friendly at hotels it can make up for anything else that may not be so good. This hotel has a lot of potential - it's a pity this was my experience and that of others. The other two Bangkok hotel's I've experienced so far were great. Cheers!
Arrived at Hotel, outside appearance very poor. Went to book in, given room in annex building next door. Reception arrear very clean but got worse as we went upstairs. Lift doors closed as you were trying to get out. On arrival at room, looked clean, but with a mouldy smell. Asked to see another room, but that was the same, also included dirty/torn linen on the beds and the mouldy smell. My husband went to look at the 'superior' rooms in the other building, but they were the same. We left to look for another hotel, which we found (SPChaweng). My husband returned to the Avenue to collect our belongings and they refunded the money that we had paid.
Stayed here for one night and had a decent stay. The staff were really friendly and after a 6am ferry allowed me to check im super early so i really appreciated that! The location is great, close enough to chaweng to walk to restaurants and shopping as well as stumble home from Ark Bar lol. The free breakfast buffet is nice and has all the traditional food minus EGGS... get some eggs please. Great express laundry that is actually cheaper than the surrounding street laundry spots. I investigated. The superior room was really nice. Clean, large, beautiful bathroom, lcd tv and a decent balcony. Good air con too. Rooftop pool was awesome. Was raining when i stayed however i still got amongst. Slightly pricey overall in my opinion however i still enjoyed my stay. Recommended!
Arrived about 9 in the morning I was "welcomed"by a very rude receptionist that didn't care that you travel 16 hrs .. However I have email them about 10-12 days prior my arrival requesting an early check in and asked them if they could organise a taxi to pick me up! When I enquired about it was told the the computer didn't work and that was all. Moving on eventually got a room before 2 pm which was great until I get into it ... The smell of mould, dust and disgusting floor and linen shocked me ... I requested a room move of course got another one which wasn't that bad with the mould but disgustingly dirty still ... Decided to call again reception to ask HSK to come and change linen, pillows and clean the floor, all the surfaces where full of hair and even broken glass under the bed side table . HSK went to change a pillowcase and linen and after 30-40 min I was still waiting..called again reception to ask her to come back as I was very tired and wanted to rest.removed one pillow and never got a cleaner one in return! Loosing hope that I will find a cleaner room decided to clean myself the surfaces .. Shockingly HSK come and started to clean with the pillowcase ,no cleaning products...no clue about basic hygiene! Then Tv wasn't working and didn't work for the entire stay, internet never in the room ...and the A/C never worked either was full with thick dust .., Nobody ever apologised ..I left the hotel after 2 days and stayed some where else .. Roof top pool is a joke ..dirty water nothing...etc ,don't bother! Breakfast I had only 1 day ,very poor selection and everywhere dirty ! Probably the only good thing about the hotel was the room size and is fairly close to the beach! Bathroom had not even toilet paper and toiletries when I arrived,no hand towels etc. I would never book this hotel again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone ! If you want a decent stay with basic level of hygiene do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else ! There are so many other good places in Samui !
I booked this hotel for 5 nights. When I arrived they gave me a superior double room and told me it was spacious. When I got to my room I couldn't believe the size and smell of the room with tacky bed linen. The receptionist kindly moved rooms for me however you could still see and smell mould all over the building. You could not swing a handbag in our room and they sell it as spacious. I ask for an upgrade and was happy to pay extra but had no rooms available. The wifi was very bad throughout the building and the maid service was useless. We never got our room cleaned properly or linen changed throughout our stay. Every time I walked into our room you could smell the mould, however breakfast was the highlight of our stay and the staff were friendly and courteous.
Located just a couple of blocks from the main Chewang Street, very comfortable rooms, nice restaurant, nice roof top pool and great rates The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate. Great little place.
Dirty. Exterior: Looks OK from the outside, once you walk in the lobby it starts to go downhill. Interior/common areas: The elevator is covered in disgusting fingerprints and god knows what else. The hallway looks like a war zone. Rotting utility door, stained carpet, missing moulding, the internet router is in the open with tons or cords coming out of it. NOTE: the internet works slowly for about 30 seconds at a time. The wall near the pool has graffiti on it. Interior/rooms: The walls #1 do not have any artwork, odd for a hotel. #2 have nicks and holes all over them. Shredded towel with stains all over it. I thought it was the housekeepers cleaning rag until I realized it was our hand town. Gross. Hand print on the shower glass, clump of hair on the floor, stained sheets. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS! This hotel would be OK if you were alone and needed a last minute room in desperation. Steer clear if you're a traveling couple or family, there are much better hotels in Samui.
This was a very unpleasant place to stay. The first night we stayed in the adjacent building to the main hotel which clearly isn't maintained properly. On arrival to our room, it was evident there was little to no proper cleaning done. The bed sheets had blood stains and other unknown marks on them. The bathroom was full of hairs and dirty marks across the surfaces. When I mentioned this at reception, and asked for a room transfer, I was told they are fully booked and I never even received an apology for the state of the room. That night the air con leaked from the roof, and I nearly slipped making my way to the bathroom in the morning. When I complained about this they gave me a room upgrade but at the cost of 600 bhat for the remainder of my stay. The new room was much more pleasant, although there were still hairs and other dirty marks in the bathroom. Apart from the initial problems with the room and the rude receptionist. The hotel is fine, pleasant staff, and is a nice 5 min walk to all the main attractions in Koh Samui.
I stayed here as part of an organised tour with a group. I had my own room and that's where the disappointment began.... The shower had built up soap scum all around the bottom edges, obviously hadn't been cleared in a long time, my toilet hadn't been cleaned either and the shower/toilet curtains were not the best. The rooms are strange as you can clearly see into the bathroom through two spaces either side of the mirror which wouldn't be ideal for tour group pairs sharing who didn't know each other well and there is technically no bathroom door, just a glass door that can slide across to cover either the shower or toilet entrance. One of my friends had to swap rooms as his was infested with ants. My room had horrific dirty handprints above the bed which are not hard to see! Why these couldn't be cleaned is beyond me. The restaurant is small and isn't open at convenient hours and all in all is a very rundown hotel. Would not recommend especially if you don't want to be reminded of what the people in the room before you were doing....
We loved our time here. The rooms were big with air conditioning which worked well. All rooms had a balcony. The place was really clean. The main strip is 7 mins walk and 10 to the beach. Its away from the rowdy bars open late but close enough to walk if you wish. The girl on the reception who spoke great english was so helpful when calling my airline over lost luggage. The price was very reasonable and its where ill stay when we are back in april. If you want clean budget accomodation in a central location then this is great.
